Dancing In The Rain[V]

You gazed out into the open courtyard, watching as rain droplets slowly trickled from the dim sky and onto the stone and dirt covered ground of Ericsons courtyard,a soft sigh falling from your lips as you rested your head against the corridors window.

You had always loved the rain; it always seemed to calm you, acting as an escape from your everyday struggles. 

You felt so relaxed, a cloudy,relaxing day was just what you needed after the hectic week you had. 

You closed your eyes and focused on the soft pitter-patter of rain that was soon followed by a gentle rumble of thunder. You had been so lost in the calming sound of the rain that you hand't heard Violets footsteps echoing through the corridor.

A smile graced Violets lips when she saw how relaxed you were and she stopped to admire you. After a few short moments she stepped closer to you, taking your hand in hers causing you to jump.

You turned to face the blonde, a smile tugging at your lips at the sight of her "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." you giggled and swung your legs over the windowsill so you were now facing Violet completely.

She stood between your legs and wrapped her arms around your neck as yours went around her waist. You didn't speak a word as you just sent her a smile, tugging her towards you so you could hug her.

A pink hue covered her cheeks as she leaned into your touch, head resting just above yours as she gazed into the courtyard. The two of you stood there for a few moments, a comfortable silence enveloping the two of you as you continued to hold one another in a tight embrace.

After minutes pass you break the silence with a gasp. Violet cocked an eyebrow at you as you pulled away, your eyes lit up and you stood from the windowsill. 

"I have an idea!. Come on, Vi!."

You ran towards the doors that lead into the courtyard and opened them, leading Violet into the open rain.

"Y/n?. W-what are we doing?."

You turned,facing Violet, a wide smile plastered onto your face as you grasped her arms and wrapped them around your neck while you circled yours around her waist. Violet chuckled as her cheeks turned a bright red.

"What're you doing?." you laughed and started to sway back and forth as you stared lovingly into her eyes "Dancing." you grinned,placing your head on her shoulder as you continued to sway. Droplets of water covered your skin and slowly drenched your clothing, but you couldn't care less; standing in your arms was the girl you loved.

Violet smiled and rested her head on yours, eyes closed as she relaxed completely for the first time in what felt like years.

You gently ran the pad of your thumb along Violets waist and softly started to hum the tune of a slow,loving song that you and Violet loved so much.

"You're such a dork." Violet stated causing you to giggle and raise your head from her shoulder "But I'm your dork." Violet smiled and leaned closer to you, ghosting her lips over yours. You could feel her breath against your skin as she whispered "And I'm so happy that you are." before gently pressing her lips to yours.

You sighed blissfully into the kiss, completely relaxing in her warm and comforting embrace as you deepened it.

Pulling away you rested your forehead against hers and smiled, pulling her closer to you.

"I love you, Vi."

She smiled and pulled your lips close once again "I love you too, n/n." she confessed, sealing those sincere and loving words with another, gentle kiss.
