Chapter: 4

It was time for lunch.

Me and Simon claimed a table in the canteen.

The school is divided in those typical groups of students. The cheerleaders, the nerds, the popular guys a.k.a. Zach's squad, the emo's, the skaters and the football team. Jack switched a bit between the skaters and the popular guys and Jonah sat with the football team sometimes.

And then you have some people like me and Simon, who don't really belong in any of these groups. We are just, normal, I guess.

Today there were less tables in the canteen than usual, because there would be an open house later and they moved the tables to a different part of the school.

Simon and I never bothered anyone while eating our lunch. We just sat at a table with the two of us and talk, eat and complain about the day.

Today was not the same as usual.

Because of the lack of tables, the popular kids joined our table..

'I think that Jasmine and Simon wouldn't mind if we joined them,' Zach said as he sat down next to me.

'No, you-,' I started my sentence, but got cut off by Jack.

'Perfect, thanks for letting us sit here,' he said as he sat down too.

Corbyn and Jonah joined us at the table as well.

They were really intimidating actually.

But this was my place and I wasn't planning on moving or leaving, so they could sit here.

'So Jasmine, you and this kid? Are you a couple?' Corbyn asked me, out of a sudden.

'No no, we're best friends,' I said with an awkward smile on my face.

Simon laughed awkwardly and signed to me that he actually wanted to leave, but I didn't want to gave in.

'How cuteeee,' Jonah said sarcastically.

'I thought they would be gone by now,' he added to his comment, slightly annoyed.

That's so rude.

First they invade our table and now they want us to leave, dickheads.

It was time for me to make my point, so I reacted to Jonah his comment, not even thinking twice before doing it.

'Well, that's too bad, cause I'm not done yet,' I said with some attitude.

All the boys looked at me very surprised.

'Told you she was fierce,' Jonah said to Corbyn and took a bite of his sandwich.

'You don't have to leave, this was your table,' Zach said.

'If you want us to leave, just say it,' Corbyn added.

'Let's just go,' Simon said and threw his bag over his shoulder while he stood up.

'Enjoy your lunch,' I said annoyed and gave them the most sarcastic smile ever.

Great, now they got exactly what they wanted.

'I'll be at yours at 3pm, okay?' Corbyn grabbed my arm when I got up, so I would look at him.

The other boys looked confused at us. They probably didn't think about the part where Corbyn is my tutor.

'Yeah, see you then,' I said and gave the rest of the boys who were looking at me a stare.

Jeez, they're really handsome.

But they're assholes Jasmine, remember that.

I followed Simon out of the canteen and we stayed at our lockers till the break ended.
