Chapter: 62

My mom closed the door and I got up and started getting ready..

I jumped in the shower cause I felt a bit dirty from yesterday. I did a bit of my makeup and all that stuff, and got dressed.

I walked downstairs and saw my mom waiting for me.

We both hopped in the car and drove to the little cozy cafe we like so much.

I ordered my favorite salad and started telling my stories from camp.

I didn't tell her about my kiss with Corbyn cause I told myself to just forget that it happened.

But for some reason, my mom got onto me.

'So, this Corbyn guy? It sounds like he really cares about you,' my mom said.

'I guess he does. We're just really good friends and we care about each other,' I responded getting a little awkward.

'And Daniel? Is it serious between you guys?'

'It is,' I responded and a smile crawled onto my face.

'I really like him. You should invite him for dinner anytime soon,' she said with a smile.

'I will.'

My mom and I talked for a bit longer and left as we finished our food.

When I got home, I sadly had to do some homework.

It wasn't a lot but I didn't feel very great so every little bit was too much.

I decided to just go to bed early, hoping I would feel better tomorrow.

'Jas, wakey wakey.'

I slightly opened my eyes and saw my mom looking concerned at me.

'Are you feeling well?' she asked as she laid her hand on my forehead.

'I'm fine,' I mumbled as I turned around, not wanting her to worry about me.

'It's grandma's birthday. Are you sure you want to go?'

'Yeah, I'll go. I feel like I haven't seen grandma and grandpa in such long time,' I said as I slowly got up.

'Alright, we'll be leaving in an hour so make sure you're ready hun.'

I nodded and just sat there on my bed, staring out of the window.

It took me some time to snap out of my thoughts.

I grabbed my phone to check if I got any notifications.
