Chapter: 17

After a while we arrived at school.

I hopped out of the car and walked into the school building.

I passed Corbyn in the hallway and he smiled at me. He is always so happy, how the fuck does he do it?

I tried to give Corbyn a smile back but it must have looked awful cause Corbyn turned around and walked besides me.

'Are you alright Jas?' he asked way too sweet.

'Yes, I'm fine Corbyn. But thanks for asking.'

'Okay, if you say so,' Corbyn said as we arrived at my locker.

I opened my locker and Corbyn leaned against the locker besides me.

'How is math going?' Corbyn asked me.

'Not that great. I'm really trying but I'm just dumb I think,' I responded frustrated.

'I'm sorry, Corbyn. I get kinda frustrated when the subject is math,' I added immediately to my sentence.

'It's okay. I'll help you. Let's do a tutoring session again then. When are you free?' Corbyn asked.

At that moment my eyes switched to a person that was coming our way.

'Hey Daniel,' Corbyn said as he moved out of the way.

Daniel opened his locker.

'Hey dude,' he responded as he looked at me.

I gave him a mad look.

'Thank you Corbyn,' I said and gave him a hug.

Corbyn was surprised by my hug but he accepted it. I felt Daniels eyes on my back.

'Sure, just text me,' Corbyn said as he walked backwards.

'I will!' I answered while raising my voice a bit because Corbyn was already further away.

I turned back to my locker and so did Daniel.

'Is he your boyfriend or something?' Daniel asked not looking at me.

I thought for a second before answering.

'Maybe he is. Why? You jealous or something?' I asked on a kinda sassy tone.

'I'm not,' he said and closed his locker with a bang and walked away.

'Such a strange guy,' I said to myself as I looked after him.

'Agree,' Simon suddenly said from behind.

I laughed a little, closed my locker and walked with Simon to our class.

After class I went to my locker.

Zach came towards me to talk for a little bit.

'Hey, how have you been? I heard from Corbyn that you looked a little pale? Are you alright?' Zach asked a little concerned.

Wow. I never realized that so many people really care about me.

'Yes, I am. Thanks for caring though. That's really sweet,' I answered with a smile.

I closed my locker and leaned against it with my back.

I looked around the school hall and saw Daniel, Jonah and Jack walking our way.

'There you have that stupid bubble gum boy again,' I said on a mad tone.
