Chapter: 40

I opened the door and before I could say a word-

'Go with me to the fair?' Daniel said at such a high speed that I had to think about it for a second.

'Yeah sure,' I said totally taking by surprise.

'I'm going out!' I said to my mom as I walked over to the stand to get my jacket.

'Do I need to change?' I asked a little insecure.

'No honey, you look beautiful as always,' my mom answered. 'Have fun!'

I walked over to Daniel and closed the door behind me.

'Really smooth though,' I said with a laugh as we started to walk.

'I'm sorry. I like.. never really been on.. a date,' Daniel answered a little nervous.

'It's okay. I love it when people are straight to the point,' I responded and intertwined our fingers.

The walk wasn't that long.

We just talked as we always did and joked around a little.

The sun started to set and the clouds that were there today, disappeared.

A little over 15 minutes later, we walked around the corner and could see the ferris wheel already.

We got to the entrance, bought ourselves tickets and went inside.

It was such a beautiful day, that a lot of people were going to the fair.

I didn't mind it at all. It gives the best vibes.

'Soo, where do you wanna go first?' Daniel asked with cute sparkles in his eyes, like a little kid who sees candy for the first time.

'Let's just walk around for a little bit first and we'll see where it will bring us,' I responded with a smile.

'I like that,' he responded as we started to walk around.

In the beginning of the fair were a lot of food trucks open.

'Let me get you something to snack first,' Daniel said while leading me towards the candy truck, we were still holding hands, so he literally pulled me towards the truck.

'How am I supposed to choose something out of all these candies?!' I asked with wide eyes.

Daniel laughed.

'Imma go for a cotton candy,' Daniel said, not even looking around anymore.

'Would you also like one?' he added.

'Yesss, I loveee cotton candy,' I responded.

With that being said, Daniel ordered the candy.

'One big cotton candy please,' he told the man in the food truck.

I hope he's gonna order a small one for me, I'm never gonna finish such a huge cotton candy...
