Pov: Simon

Jasmine and I walked to the car and Daniel leaned against my car, waiting for us.

Why did he have to go with us? I didn't sign up for this but dad wanted me to 'bond' with him.

I pushed the button on my car keys so the doors were open.

Daniel entered the car and Jas and I followed him.

'So Daniel, made some friends already?' I asked him, being polite.

'Yeah, but most people suck,' he responded.

Rude. Why do I even try?

'Yeah, I agree,' Jasmine said and looked at me.

Of course she meant Daniel.

I nodded to make clear that I agreed.

Luckily I live really close to school so the awkward rides weren't that long.

I stopped in front of Jasmine's house and she hopped out after she said goodbye.

Then I drove to my house and parked the car.

'How was your first day?' Daniel's mom asked him after we entered the house.

'Amazing. Simon has some great friends,' Daniel said with a big smile as he patted my shoulder.

Why is he lying to his mother?

'That's great honey,' Keri responded and took a sip of her tea.

Daniel smiled and went upstairs.

I did the same and walked after Daniel.

'Why are you lying to your mom?' I asked just before he closed the door.

'She's sending me to a boarding school if I don't behave.'

'But you don't behave. You're being rude as fuck,' I responded.

'Yeah, well, I was born rude,' he responded and gave me a fake smile before closing the door.

'That explains a lot,' I said to myself as I entered my room.

Pov: Jasmine

It was about time for me to leave after I finished my meal.

I grabbed my bag with my math books and left.

Later at the day I could use my dad's car, so I wouldn't have to ask Simon to bring me.

So I hopped into my dad's car and left.

I arrived and parked in the driveway.

As I got out of the car, I saw that Simon's car pulled up in front of the house.

Daniel got out of the car but didn't notice me. Or he pretended to not see me to avoid greeting me. That's probably it.

Daniel rang the doorbell and the door opened. Just before the door closed, I ran towards the door and prevented it from closing.

Corbyn greeted me with a hug.

'Hey.'

Daniel greeted me with no emotion so that's what I did too.
