Chapter: 58

Corbyn wrapped his arm around my shoulder as we walked towards the cabin.

We arrived in a couple of minutes and entered the dark cabin.

I searched the light switch with my hand and flipped the switch as I found it.

I sat down on the edge of the sofa bed and stretched my leg.

Corbyn grabbed the box with bandages from under the bed that I got from the first-aid lady.

Corbyn kneeled down besides my leg and opened the box.

He cut the bandage with a small scissors, so he could unwrap it.

I took a look at the wound and saw that it was already healing a bit.

'It's looking great,' he said with a little smile.

He wrapped the wound in a new bandage and secured it tightly.

'Thank you,' I said softly.

Corbyn closed the box and slid it under the bed.

'No problem,' he said as he got up and sat on the bed opposite from me.

'Thank you for always taking care of me. Not just my leg but for being my friend and helping with math. I really appreciate it,' I said as I turned a bit more towards him.

'Of course. I'm glad you're doing better with math,' Corbyn answered.

'Yeah, I really needed it cause I suck at math,' I responded with a little laugh.

'You're not that bad Jas.'

'Oh stop it. I am bad at math but I'm just happy you help me cause I destroy way less pencils during math exercises now, out of frustration,' I said as Corbyn and I both laughed.

'You know that one time when Zach came with us and we had that pizza fight?' Corbyn said as we brought up old memories.

'Yeaah. That was hilarious. But the cleaning though..'

'Oh yeahh.. that was awful,' Corbyn answered as we both laughed.

It just went on like that. We brought up all those funny memories we mostly experienced during the math tutoring lessons.

'Can I ask you a question?' I asked as we went silent for a bit.

'Sure.'

'Did you like.. ever catch feelings for a girl you 'tutored'?' I asked as I looked down at my hands that played with the fabric of my dress.

'I did..' Corbyn answered after a little while.

His voice sounded vulnerable.

'Do you have feelings for someone at the moment?' he asked after a short moment of silence.

'Well.. two people have been a lot on my mind lately..' I responded while I felt my heart pounding in my chest.
