Chapter: 49

Pov: Jasmine

The walk to our cabins wasn't that long, but long enough to start a conversation.

I was walking next to Daniel and Jonah and they kinda let me join in their conversation, what was nice.

Even though Jonah knew about us, we still couldn't act like we were together, the other boys could notice that too easily.

Before actually heading to our cabins, we needed to check the planning that they hang up on the sanitary building.

'Where is the goddamn planning, I'm not gonna circle around this building,' Jonah said annoyed.

'Probably on the door in the front, that's where they told us it would be,' I said, trying to be nice but also trying to make him look like a fool.

We all were walking around the building as I felt two arms around my waist.

This must be Daniel.

We were a little bit behind the rest, so they wouldn't notice it.

As I looked up at him, he quickly pressed his lips against my cheek and let go of me.

'Too obvious, sorry,' he said as he quickly walked away and looked at me with guilt, what caused me to laugh.

'What you're laughing about? Jack suddenly said.

'Oh nothing,' I said, trying to stop smiling and giving him a serious look.

'I wouldn't laugh either, we have our shift together, tonight,' he said bluntly.

'Oh great,' was the only response I could think of.

'You better do something, cause I'm not gonna..,'

I quickly looked at the paper to see what we actually needed to do.

'..do those dishes all by my self,' I said on an almost mad tone before walking away.

We all made our way to our cabins now, so it was so useless that I walked away cause Jack was in the same cabin as me, but oh well.

We had like an hour of free time until we had dinner so we just entered the cabin to hang around a bit.

I fell down on my bed just like all the other boys did.

Pov: Daniel

'Sooo, after dinner we'll have a free night, what are we gonna do?' I asked as we all were laying on our beds.

'I think I wanna go to the campfire,' Jasmine said nonchalantly.

I want to say that I'll join her but that would, again, be too obvious.

'I'll join you,' Corbyn then said, what gave me the chance to also join her.

'Sure, I'll go with,' I responded.

'Yea, why don't we all go?' Zach now said.

'Sure, why not,' Jack said, what gave Jonah an annoyed look on his face.

'Bro you don't have to go as well,' I said, rather not having Jonah around when I'm around Jas, cause he keeps dropping hints all the time.

'Nooo, I think it can be fun,' he now said while looking at Jasmine.

After that, he looked at me and smirked.

What was he planning on doing?

'We should head to the eating hall,' Jasmine said while looking on her phone.

'Otherwise there won't be any food left for us,' she added.

We all got up and made our ways to the big hall with tables everyone. Almost like an insanely big canteen.

Our teacher lead us to the place where we could get a plate and told us to walk further for our food.

We all went for the macaroni, cause the other option looked like vomit and we claimed a table where we could all take place at.

While eating and just talking about the most random things, I felt that the group was bonding a little already.

The hate between Jonah and Jasmine faded a tiny little bit away and there was no difference between juniors and seniors anymore.

I hadn't seen Simon all day, what I didn't mind, but Jasmine hasn't talked to him ever since she just left their cabin.

Of course this was the moment that Simon and Dylan entered the big hall.

Zach saw him entering too and looked at Jasmine.

'Jas, have you talked to Simon already?' Zach said while still looking at Simon.

'No, and I'm not going to,' she responded clearly.

'What happened?' I asked, way too caring again, but what could I care, I was a curious boyfriend.

'Too much. He literally trade me in for Dylan,..' Jasmine said, and it hurt her, I could just read it off on the look on her face.

'Well, if he does that, he doesn't deserve you,' Corbyn said, and I totally agreed.

'And he made the stupidest mistake,' Zach added what made her smile.

I miss her smiling at me.

She was sitting on the other side of the table, one seat next to mine.

I wanted her to know that I cared as well, but couldn't show it, so I decided to just slightly touch her with my leg against hers.

'Yeeez Daniel, why the heck did you kick me?!' Jack said, who sat across of me, what caused everyone at the table to laugh.

Shit, wrong person..

'I was just stretching my leg but you were in my way,' I quickly made up and we just laughed it away.

We finished our food and Jack and Jasmine had their first shift together.

The rest of us headed back to the cabin to just chill till they would finish their task.

Pov: Jasmine

I didn't even know Jack that well, but I did know that I didn't exactly like him.

After we finished our food, we searched for our teacher to ask where we needed to go.

He brought us to the kitchen where we needed to do the dishes.

There was a big machine and we needed to put in all the dishes, the machine would clean them all and after that we needed to dry them and put them in a crate.

The vibe around Jack wasn't bad at all. He was quite calm and showed interest in me as much as I did in him.

We were just talking about school and our mutual friends when he suddenly said something that I didn't saw coming.

'How is it going between you and Daniel?'
