Chapter: 25

We drove to the Mac Donalds and went to the drive thru. I wasn't getting out of the car with that brown spot on my pants..

'Can I get a cheese burger and a medium coke please?' I said while hanging out of the window a bit as I talked to the speaker.

'Is that all?' the lady asked.

'What do you want?' I asked Jasmine.

'9 chicken nuggets and a strawberry smoothie.'

I repeated Jasmine's order and told the lady that was our order.

We drove to the next window and almost immediately got our order.

'Here,' Jasmine said and held up ten dollars.

'I'm paying for you,' I responded and gave the lady the money.

'Enjoy your food,' the lady said.

'Thank you. Bye,' I responded and closed the car window.

'Where are we going?' Jasmine asked confused as I drove past the parking lots.

'Just trust me.'

I looked at her and gave her a smile. Jasmine nodded and smiled back.

Pov: Jasmine

Where the hell is he taking me?

We drove through our neighborhood. We even passed Simon's house and mine.

Daniel drove a bit further and stopped by the forest.

'Ohhh, now I get it. You're kidnapping me!' I said sarcastically.

Daniel laughed and grabbed the bag of Mac Donalds before he got out of the car, so that's what I did too.

He waited for me to walk besides him and he grabbed my hand.

I felt chills all over my body, also cause it was a bit cold.

I walked after Daniel through the forest.

I had seen this forest many times cause it's pretty close to my house, but I had never walked into it. I mean, why would I?

'We're here,' Daniel said and stopped walking.

I was looking at the ground so I wouldn't trip over something.

As I looked up, I saw a little lake. It was surrounded with trees. There was a little jetty in the water and the sun that was going down made a shimmering on the water.

'I told you I was romantic,' Daniel said as he looked at me.

'I have to agree with you. This is such a nice place,' I responded.

That's when I noticed that we we're still holding hands.

Daniel walked further and sat down at the end of the jetty.

I joined him and took my chicken nuggets out of the bag.

'How do you know this place. I've lived here my whole life and I didn't know there was a lake in the forest.'
