Chapter: 34

While we were eating, Keri asked us about our day at school and told us about her day at work, Christopher did the same.

'I heard there is a football game tonight. Are you guys going?' Keri asked, looking across the table at Simon, Daniel and me.

'I'm going with some friends,' Daniel said.

'Jas and I are going with Zach and Corbyn,' Simon said.

'I don't think so. Me, Jack, Corbyn and Zach are going together already,' Daniel answered being very sure of himself.

'They asked us to go with them, so it's just you and Jack now,' Simon fired back at him.

'True,' I said quietly, not wanting to get too involved in this conversation.

'Why don't you go all together?' Keri said hoping the argument would be done.

'I think that's a lovely idea,' Christopher added on a very sweet tone.

'Absolutely not!' Simon immediately said.

Of course I didn't think it was such a bad idea, and Daniel would probably think the same, but we weren't gonna say that out loud.

'Nope,' Daniel said and shook his head no.

By now, we had all finished eating.

We heard a car honk and all got up.

'That's for me,' Daniel said, looking at me and Simon.

'No, Corbyn and Zach are picking us up so you gotta wait,' Simon answered as he walked over to the coat stand.

'Yeah well, Corbyn, Zach and Jack are picking me up!' Daniel answered frustrated.

I was too afraid to even say a word. How can I choose between my best friend and my kinda boyfriend?

'Well they're waiting for me so I'm gonna go,' Daniel said and walked over to the car.

'Well we are coming too,' I said quickly and walked after Daniel.

On my way to the car, I saw Jack sitting behind the wheel and Corbyn and Zach in the back.

Daniel hopped into the passengers seat. There wasn't really room for 4 people in the back but we had to make it work.

'Simon, come on!' I screamed as I saw him still standing by the door.

Simon rolled his eyes but finally came with me.

I was squeezed between Zach and Simon on the backseat.

'Why didn't you tell us you guys were already going with them?!' I asked a little confused and frustrated at the same time.

'We didn't wanna choose between you guys. Why can't we be like one big group?' Corbyn answered feeling a bit guilty I think and forcing a little smile.

'Cause I don't really like everyone in the 'group',' Simon said before I could answer.

'Come on guys, just give it a chance!' Zach said enthusiastic.

'Sure,' I answered blunt.

'Fine,' Jack added.
