“So Danny, we’ve all seen the pictures, who is this mysterious girl?” We were on Alan Carr: Chatty Man, and it had all been going so well. At that moment, my heart sank, but I think I managed to keep a smile. Maybe.

“Well. She.” I couldn’t think of what to say. “She’s a close friend, of me and the boys.” I stated simply.

“Definitely, she is an amazing person, we all love her.” Mark added with a smile.

“Like our little sister.” Glen continued, I managed to subtly wipe away the tears that were forming.

“And did you bring her along tonight?” Alan asked, I couldn’t move.

“Unfortunately not.” Glen responded, the silence from the band made it clear that we weren’t going into details.

“Well then, she seems like a sweet thing for sure.” Alan commented, perhaps trying to make it less awkward.

“Oh, yeah, she is awesome.” I replied, smiling for real this time. I saw Glen’s smirk.

“Definitely, cookies and milk for breakfast, who could ask for more?” Glen laughed.

“Breakfast?” Alan asked.

“Oh yeah, we end up round her place a lot of the time and until we have a place to stay permanently she lets us crash there.” Mark explained. “Less me, I tend to spend the time with my family, but those two practically live there.” I was smiling fondly, but it hurt, we were talking about her as if we would be seeing her tonight, be having a laugh about it all. We won’t though, will we?

“She sounds like a star! You need to bring her along next time.” Alan laughed.

“If we can.” I sighed. Glen elbowed me.

“None of that.” He murmured, thank god no one questioned me.

“And, now to talk about something else we’ve heard, that you are all on a break.” He looked at us over his glasses.

“Yeah, that is true.” Mark informed them.

“We decided we needed a break, not from music, we are still recording, we just didn’t want to travel right now. We all have… commitments, here in the UK.” I explained.

“Speaking of commitments, Danny are you single?” I managed to smirk, it took more effort than it should of.

“I am, but I have my eye on someone special.” The studio audience thought it was sweet, letting out an ‘ahh’.

“Oh! Sorry heartbroken fans, how is it going with the special person?”
