“HOLY FUCKING SHIT!” I screamed.
“What?” Everyone in the room was looking at me worriedly.
“Ed Sheeran sang Chasing Cars on stage! Like what!” Danny just laughed at me.
“You are crazy.” Mark and Glen smiled fondly.
“Play it then, you know you want too.” Shawn smiled, and I did. We all sang along badly, pretending we were there and waving our arms. Danny pulled me close to him, giving me a hug whilst we sang along. Not gunna lie, it felt great being with him. But, to make it official, that scares me. A lot.
“You a fan of our Irish brothers?” Danny asked.
“Snow Patrol are AMAZING!” I admitted. “You know guys, I want to let you know, I am really happy here. I’m happy with my new family.” I confessed, out loud. Everyone was smiling, beaming really.
“I think this calls for celebration!” Shawn announced.
“Yeah!” We chorused.
“McDonald’s!” I cheered.
“For you my dear, of course.” Shawn agreed. “Eat in or out?”
“I want to eat in.”
“Is that a good idea, you know with Danny and Mark and Glen?”
“I know who they are, if they don’t want to I’m not making them. I want to sit in and eat.”
“I’ll do it, I don’t mind. I’ll do it for you.” Dan decided, he is beyond a sweetheart sometimes. Maybe it could work…
“Love ya forever!” I claimed, jumping up and wrapping my arms round his neck.
“Love you too.” And he meant it. And I mean it. Why do I have to make it so complicated between us?
“Come on lovebirds.” Mark called from the door. I went in the car with Mark, Glen and Danny. Shawn, Henry and Gus took their own car. I was sat next to Dan, as usual.
“You guys don’t have to come in you know. I wouldn’t mind.” I felt pretty bad now.
“No, I want to go in. Haven’t sat in a McDonald’s for a long time, now we have a decent excuse.” Danny smiled.
“Oh, so I’m just an excuse?” I teased.
“You are never just anything. Except, just no words.” His hand found it’s way to mine, holding it loosely. No words. Now that is a love song. The teasing has suddenly become something more serious.
