I picked up straight away, her face lighting up my phone screen.

“Hey babe, what’s up?” I couldn’t help but smile.

“Don’t get mad.” She pleaded, something wasn’t right. She didn’t sound okay.

“What’s wrong?” I asked, getting to my feet.

“Jay and I had a bit of a confrontation.” She told me slowly, my grip on the phone tightened, I was fucking angry. That little shit. “And he punched me in the face.”

“HE DID WHAT?!” I screamed, I know I must have zoned out somewhere, maybe I heard wrong.

“I don’t know, he just punched me in the face.” I launched my cup of tea at the wall, it didn’t really help me feel any better. Okay, maybe a little.

“That little fucker. Oh god, I am going to kill him.” I could hear her voice, but I just couldn’t get my brain to work. I was too angry. Why on earth would you punch a girl in the face? It is an unspoken rule. It just doesn’t happen. I felt a hand on my shoulder, I shrugged it off and got my jacket. “I will be at the school in 10 minutes. You better hope I don’t see him first.” I hung up. Slightly uncalled for, but shit I am angry. Hopefully she won’t take it to heart.

“Calm down mate.” I turned to face Mark, he looked worried.

“I can’t. He punched her Mark. He hurt her.” I growled as I left the studio.

“Don’t do something stupid.” He warned, getting into the front of the car.

“Thanks.” I mumbled, I tried to calm down. Mark is right, hurting him would only make it worse. Well, worse for her and for the band image. I’m fairly certain I would feel a whole lot better.

I sat in the office, the bleeding had stopped and I’d cleaned up. But there was blood on Danny’s t-shirt. This was one of his favourites. Shawn sat across from me.

“And I am here because?” He asked.

“Amy seems to be involved in more situations of this nature. We are concerned about this.”

“It’s her fault? Is that what you are telling me?” Shawn was mad. “She got punched in the face. That is unacceptable. She is going through an extremely difficult time right now, she doesn’t need to deal with this too.”

“Maybe now is not the best time for her to return to education.” Great suggestion Mr Asshole, I forgot his name. Let’s just call him Mr A.

“And what do you suggest? She needs these a-levels.”
