I got back to my flat to find Amy sat outside in the rain.
“Oh babe, I didn’t even think.” I apologised, I completely forgot about keys.
“It doesn’t matter. I had some things to think about anyway.” She shrugged, I quickly took my coat off, putting it on her; the poor thing was shaking like a leaf.
“It does matter, I should have thought.” She was being strangely quiet and I was worried. “My family were out of line.” She dropped onto the sofa, grabbing her head with his hands.
“Dan, they were only looking out for you.” She sighed.
“No, they were out of line. They do like you, Ma does I can tell. But, after Irma they just worry. Ian always has been the responsible one. Like a second father really.” I sat beside her, wrapped an arm round her shoulder, she melted into my side.
“Maybe they’re right.” She mumbled.
“Don’t you dare say that. You know I am happy with this, with you, with everything we have. I would give you everything, no questions asked. But you don’t need things, you don’t ask for anything, no matter how much I would and want to give you.” She looked up at me with sad eyes.
“They don’t like me, I’m bad for you.”
“Look at me. You are my other half. You are all that matters to me. If they don’t like you, then fine. I love you, you mean the world to me. They can’t accept that then I can’t accept them, I love you.”
“Dan don’t say that.” She cried softly into my arm.
“I mean it baby.”
“Family is more important than you know, don’t take it for granted.”
“You are my family.” It was so true though, she smiled sadly at me.
“Babe, don’t do something stupid for me.” Her voice was sad and pleading, I know one way to try and make her smile. I leant forward, kissing her softly. Trying to put all my love into this kiss.
“Baby, I love you more than life. To the moon and back.” I kissed her again.
“No, I’m not letting you win because your kisses blow my mind.” I couldn’t stop smirking at her.
“Blow your mind?”
“Yeah Dan.” She smiled.
“I think you need some mind blowing.” I kissed her again, this time a little more forcefully. She gave in, I let her take the lead, she moved to sit on my lap. Effectively straddling me, my hands fell to her waist as she moved to my hair. Bitch. I hate it when my hair gets messed up, but god I love what she does to me.
