Roman had it all planned. He was going to have a quiet romantic day, just between the two of them. Show him all of the beauty and splendor his world had to offer. However now, as Roman looked down at the panting, sweaty figure blushing beneath him, he realized just how much his date had been unexpectedly twisted.

~earlier~

It had been a week since their discussion. As decided Virgil had been rotating rooms and despite his negative expectations nothing had happened. He expected them to ask for things or even just take what they want, however nothing had happened. The light sides hardly touching him besides the occasional hug or Roman insisting on carrying him around.

Currently he was lounging around on the couch, absently scrolling through Tumbler. Steven Universe played on the TV but he wasn't actively watching it. He had spent the previous night in Patton's room and Patton had been hanging out with him since. He had only recently stepped out to make some sandwiches for everyone's lunches.

Virgil's attention was drawn away from his phone by the swift footsteps thundering down the upstairs hall. He looked up in time to see Roman practically jumping down the whole flight of stairs.

“Ah Virgil, just the person I was looking for!” Roman said with an excited grin on his face as he walked over to the couch in long strides.

Virgil raised a brow as he sat up, turning off his phone and placing it face down on the couch.

“You haven't gotten to see much of the imagination right? Well, would you like to accompany me today for a quaint stroll, perhaps catch a play in the village?”

Roman suggested, leaning against the couch.

“Are you asking me out on a date, Princy?” Virgil asked with a playful smirk.

“Is there a problem with that?” Roman asked in an equally teasing tone.

Virgil reached up playfully to push Roman’s head back.

“Well I think it a swell idea. But don’t forget to eat lunch first,” Patton said.

Virgil and Roman looked up to see Patton had returned to the living room with two sandwiches in hand.

“Of course my beautiful angel,” Roman tried to bend down to kiss him but Patton pressed the sandwich against his lips.

“Don’t forget to tell me if you’re going to be late to dinner,” Patton hummed with a smirk as he placed the sandwich Roman had kissed into his hand.

“Of course my dear,” Roman replied, holding Patton’t chin gently.

Patton stifled a chuckle as he stood up on his toes to steal a kiss from his boyfriend before slipping away to go to Virgil.

“Here is your lunch, love,” Patton hummed, kissing his forehead.

“Are you sure about me going? We were...”

“Don’t worry about it, I need to make sure Logan isn’t overworking himself anyways,” Patton replied with a shrug.

“Oh? How are you planning on doing that?” Roman asked, wiggling his brow.

“By delivering him some lunch, obviously,” Patton replied cheerfully as he left to go back to the kitchen again.

“Well, my dark prince, shall we take our lunches and be on our way?” Roman suggested, extending his hand to the anxious side.
