It's pretty relaxed again this chapter. References to Virgil's past and trauma but honestly nothing major. As always take care of yourselves and thank you for reading! I also wanted to say thank you because this story is not only first in LAMP but also Polysanders! So again, thank you all so much for reading voting and commenting, it means so much. I'm honestly super surprised a story like this would rank number one in either of those categories.

"Do we really have to leave?" Virgil sighed, looking out the back window where a few savannah sparrows had gathered to eat out of the bird feeder.
"This was only a weekend trip, Virgil. We need to return to Thomas, we can't exactly leave him with only our passive influence. Not to mention he needs us for recording tomorrow," Logan replied, taking a seat on the wooden floor beside him. "Is there a reason you want to avoid leaving?"
Virgil remained silent for a moment, never looking over at the logical side.
"It's only been four days here and think about everything that has happened. I've never felt this relaxed and free. I'm sure I just feel this way because this is the imagination and everything about it is fake. This isn't reality. But reality is a scary thing. All of us know at least Remus will be there tomorrow. I keep telling myself that without Deceit's orders he'll only just try to make me uncomfortable for his own amusement, that I'll be able to handle him. But what if I can't? What if I lose this again?" Virgil asked, the frustration clear in his voice.
"You've had this on your mind for a while, not just this morning, haven't you?" Logan assumed.
Virgil gave a small nod.
"Since yesterday. I just thought I was going to miss this place but, I don't know," Virgil frowned.
Logan pulled him into a sideways hug, rubbing his upper arm.
"Virgil, I can't lie to you and tell you everything is going to be alright, because I don't have that information. However, I will tell you that we're all here for you. We won't let them get away with hurting you any more. We are going to be right by your side the whole time. I believe in you. You recovered and moved even further forward so quickly since your last run in with them. Even without us you are so incredibly strong. We'll get through this," Logan promised.
Virgil leaned his head on Logan's shoulder and let out a long breath to calm himself.
"You're right, as always. I'm just being a bit childish," Virgil chuckled, his darkened gaze still not meeting Logan's.
"I wouldn't call it childish. You have genuine concerns. What is childish is the fact that ever since Roman woke up this morning he has been demanding we go on another vacation here soon because we didn't get to do everything he had planned for us and pouting when I told him it'd be ill advised to make any plans at this moment in time because we don't know yet when Thomas would be able to take more time off from any complicated activity where he would need us more present," Logan replied.
Virgil stifled a laugh.
"I mean, I wouldn't complain about taking short day trips here when we can," Virgil pointed out.
"Perhaps. We need to check in with Thomas through and make sure everything has been alright on his end with us being here," Logan replied.
"Hmm, well I mean I can sense him being a bit frustrated and annoyed at times but not overly anxious so I wouldn't assume anything out of the normal happened. Has Patt said anything?" Virgil asked.
Logan shook his head.
"No, the emotions he has intercepted for Thomas have been quite similar to your statement," Logan replied.
