This chapter is only half of what was originally planned to avoid having to rush everything, so... I hope you still enjoy. There is a bit of spiraling thoughts towards the ending of the middle, but other than that this is a pretty fluffy chapter as likely this whole vacation part will be. As always take care of yourselves and thank you for reading.

"Virgil, you need to wake up now, Kitten."

Virgil let out an exhausted groan, nuzzling the pillows as he tried to stay in his peaceful slumber. The bed was still so warm and soft, he didn't want to leave yet. Still he could hear the soft chuckles off to his side as someone crawled onto the bed.

"If you keep sleeping you'll miss the cinnamon pancakes," Patton whispered in his ear.

Virgil peeked open an eye to look at him, a small pout on his lips. He wanted his pancakes but he really didn't want to leave the warmth of the bed.

"I know how they are your favorite. Roman and I made them just for you, but I suppose if you want to sleep through breakfast, we can just split them amongst ourselves," Patton mused, a playful grin on his face.

Virgil let out a weak hiss of protest, still not moving from his spot. He was awake now, but he still didn't want to be.

"Well, if you get out of bed we won't eat them," Patton reasoned. "Besides, didn't you promise me you'd eat today?"

"But 's warm," Virgil complained, burying his face back down in the pillows.

"I know and you look so cozy and adorable right now, but we still let you sleep in way longer than Logan would have liked. We've been waiting for you to wake up naturally so we could have breakfast but it is already eleven. You gotta get up, Kitten, or I'll have to attack you with tickles. I'm not letting you sleep through our vacation," Patton scolded with a pout.

Virgil rolled onto his back, looking up at Patton. He was fully awake now and was planning on getting up. He just wanted to play stubborn a bit longer to tease Patton. Honestly, now that he had woken up more, he felt extremely well rested and was in a surprisingly good mood.

"But sleeping is relaxing and isn't relaxing what people are supposed to do on vacation?" Virgil smirked.

Patton's cheeks puffed out, dusting a frustrated pink color.

"I'm going to physically fight you with affection if you don't get up," Patton warned.

"Sorry, Cookie, that doesn't sound like much of a threat. Almost makes me more tempted to go back to sleep," Virgil teased.

Patton lips pressed into a thin line. He grabbed at the blankets and pulled them off of Virgil who whined at the loss of warmth. He then leaned down over Virgil, staring him in the eye with a frustrated pout.

"Please get up," Patton begged.

"I think I'll just stay here," Virgil replied.

"Virgil-" Patton began to complain before Virgil pinned him down.

Patton looked up at Virgil who was sitting on his lap, hands pinning down Patton's shoulders, and wearing the proudest expression he'd ever seen on him. Patton could hear the quiet giggles Virgil was trying to suppress. It was obvious Virgil was in a good mood.

"Well, hi there Kitten," Patton grinned once his initial stunned reaction had worn off.

"Hi," Virgil replied, lowering himself down onto Patton's chest.

"We need to go eat our breakfast for lunch," Patton said.

"I know, I know. Just a bit longer, please?" Virgil asked, scooting up a little so he was a bit closer to Patton's face.
