No real trigger warnings. A bit of a freak out about heights and consensual sexual activity in the second half. I hope you enjoy. As always take care of yourselves and thank you for reading.

One thing they learned about Virgil after his night with Patton, they needed to be careful about giving him long periods of aftercare. Similarly to Patton he was rather sensitive for a while, however not quite to the point clothing bothered him, but more so that he needed physical contact from the person he'd been with to keep him grounded, likely from an underlying fear of abandonment or being used. They discovered the issue after Patton had left him for only a moment to grab a series of items from his room after breakfast, only for Virgil to nearly have a breakdown. Roman and Logan had been unable to help him, only Patton was able to when he returned to reassure Virgil he wasn't going anywhere and he still loved him. He was fine again by lunch, but Patton still stuck around close to him in order to make sure nothing went wrong. Afterwards Roman, Patton, and Logan made the verbal rule that when Virgil chose to be intimate again, he was not to be left alone under any circumstance, even if that meant taking him with them to visit Thomas. Roman had to keep all of that in mind as he planned his promised date with Virgil. The other two already knew about his plan to take Virgil should he agree as well, even if the intimate evening that was intended was cut out for a simple romantic outing. For the time being he would just send Virgil a message and see how things went.

Virgil had been hanging out on the couch scrolling through Tumblr when he heard a strange fluttering sound beside him. At first he ignored it thinking it was his imagination playing tricks on him however when he heard the cooing of a dove he finally looked up from his phone. Perched on the back of the couch right beside him was a morning dove, a small note in its beak. On the note he could clearly make out in overly curly letters the words "To: Virgil". He reluctantly took the note from the bird which luckily did nothing but cock it's head and watch him. He eyed the bird carefully, still weary of being attacked, before unfolded the small paper to read the note left for him.

My Dearest Prince of Darkness,

I believe I promised you a date a week ago, did I not? If today would be a day you wish to accompany me then meet me in the imagination in one hour. If you choose to come think of me when you go through the door and you will be taken to my location. If you wish to postpone my invitation you are more than welcome to.

Much love,

Roman

Virgil bit his lower lip as he bubbled with excitement at the implication. He glanced around in an attempt to find where Roman was hiding to no success. He wanted to tell him he accepted so he didn't have to wait and worry about whether or not Virgil would show up. Virgil gave a soft sigh figuring there wasn't much he could do besides get ready and show up on time for the date. He wasn't quite sure what to do about the bird, however. Perhaps Roman would take care of him and even if Roman didn't, Logan would likely find it and know what to do. Virgil scooted away from the bird, that continuously watched his every move, before bolting away up the stairs to his bedroom to get ready.

He was practically glowing and giddy with the thought of what was to come. He'd had so much fun with Patton and now he was going to get to be together with Roman as well. He wondered if it'd feel the same or be noticeably different. He couldn't believe that soon he'd have the answer to that and so much more. For now though he just needed to decide on an outfit. He wanted something that might be perhaps a little more enticing than his usual outfit choice. He chose something a bit more revealing than normal, a short sleeved shirt with a wide collar that slipped off one shoulder and was tucked into a pair of tight shorts. There were rips up the front of the shorts going high enough to show off the pockets of the fabric. To complete the outfit he ended up wearing a pair of black boots to go about a quarter of the way up his thighs. He spent so long choosing his outfit he had to run to the imagination out of fear Roman would think he didn't want to come.
