I shut my bedroom door and broke down in tears. I don't want anybody but him but that's not gonna happen. That's obvious.
I got back into my bed and ended up crying myself to sleep.
ONE WEEK LATER...
I was in my room when my phone started ringing.
"Hey, Joshua! What's up?" I asked when I answered.
"Wanna hangout?"
"I really don't wanna today and I have homework." I said.
"Okay! That's fine. See you tomorrow at school then!" He said
"See ya!" I said and hung up.
To be honest, I wanna hangout with someone, just not Joshua. He seems weird.
I ended up deciding to go ask Chase if he wanted to hangout.
"Hey, big bro." I said, walking into his room.
"Hey!" He said.
"So, wanna hangout?" I asked.
"Sure! What do you wanna do?" He asked.
"Wanna go down to the park and play basketball?" I asked.
"Yeah! Sounds fun!" He agreed and we walked to the park.
"Hey, can I talk to you about stuff?" I asked.
"Of course you can." He said.
"Alright. Well, Mark and I did date..." I said.
"That was a bit obvious." Chase said.
"But then, he ended kissing a girl that goes to our school, Paige. The girl that has been coming over everyday to spend time with Mark and now, with him and I not talking, I'm just hurt. Because I really do love him. And now, there's this other guy at my school, Joshua, he clearly likes me but I don't really know him that well." I said.
"Damn...I'm sorry, sis. But listen to me, if Mark goes off and kisses another girl, he doesn't deserve you and you're way too good to be crying over him." Chase said.
Whoa...that was unexpected.
"I know but it's hard." I said.
"It always is at first but it'll get better in time." He said and my phone went off.
"Oh! My friend wants to see me. Mind if I go?" I asked.
"Nope! Have fun. Just be home before dark." Chase said.
"Don't worry!" I said and left the park and went to Joshua's.
