Alyssa'sPOV

"Wake you two or you'll make us late for school!" I heard and opened my eyes and saw Paige's brother.

"We're getting up now get out!" Paige yelled and he shut the door.

"Us?" I asked.

"Zaiden goes to the same school as us." Paige said.

"Isn't he like...twenty?" I asked and she laughed.

"Sixteen. Anyway, let's get up and get ready." She said and we did.

"Imma go downstairs and get something to eat." I told Paige.

"Okay! Help yourself to anything. I'll be down in like, ten minutes." She said.

"Okay." I said and went downstairs and into the kitchen and Zaiden was there. "Hey!"

"What's up? Hungry?" He asked.

"Yeah." I said.

"Whatcha want? Cereal, waffles or pancakes?" He asked.

"Cereal." I answered.

"Okay! It's in that cabinet." He said.

"Dude!" I yelled.

"What?" He asked.

"I can't reach it!" I said and he laughed.

He got me down the cereal I wanted and him and I both sat at the table and ate breakfast.

"So, do you guys have parents?" I asked.

"Yeah but they always leave for work crazy early and come home late. We barely ever see them." Zaiden said.

"Oh. I don't see my parents because they live in Stockton while I live here with my brother." I said.

Zaiden and I talked and then Paige came downstairs.

"Finally." Zaiden said and Paige rolled her eyes and I laughed.

After some time, we all left for school.

AT SCHOOL...

"There you are!" I heard when I got out of Zaiden's car and turned and saw Mark.

"I had a feeling you were worried. I went to Paige's for the night because I needed a break from everything and everyone. I'm okay though."

"Bro! She doesn't need you to look after her 24/7." Zaiden said.

"Oh no..." Paige said.

"What do you care!? You don't know her!" Mark said.

"Let's go!" Paige said, taking my hand and we went into the school.

"Wait, I'm so confused. What's going on?" I asked.

"Zaiden and Mark got into a fight one day after school. You went with Joshua so you missed it but they hate each other for so many reasons that I don't understand." Paige said.

"Oh.." I said.

"Yeah. Anyway, let's go to our lockers and get to class." Paige said and we did.
