Makes for 24 bars
Ingredients:
2 sticks of butter
1 1/2 cups of flour
1 1/2 cups of oats
1 cup of brown sugar
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
12 oz of chokecherry jelly
Preparation:
1. Preheat the oven for 350 degrees and grease a 9 x 13 pan.
2. Mix together the butter, flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder and salt. Press half the oat mixture into the prepared pan.
3. Spread with the chokecherry jelly Sprinkle the other half of the oat mixture over the top and pat lightly.
4. Bake until light brown, 30 to 40 minutes. Let cool completely, and then cut into squares.
