Makes for 4 Servings
Ingredients:
2 chicken breasts, cubed
1 pinch of salt and pepper
1 teaspoon of chili powder
3/4 teaspoon of turmeric
6 tablespoons of butter, divided
1/2 diced onion
1 clove of minced garlic
1 teaspoon of minced ginger
1 1/2 teaspoons of graham masala
1/2 teaspoon of chili powder
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon of cumin
1 pinch of cayenne pepper
1/2 can of tomato sauce
1/4 cup of water
3/4 teaspoon of heavy cream
1/4 cup of water
2 tablespoons of cornstarch
Preparation:
1. Places the cubed chicken in a ziplock bag. Season it with salt, pepper, turmeric, and chili powder. Close the bag and mix it by tossing it around. Place in the fridge and let it marinate for 30 minutes.
2. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a pan over medium heat. Cook the chicken in the butter until it has completely cooked. Take the chicken out.
3. Add another 2 tablespoons of butter in the pan and let it melt. Add the onion, garlic, and ginger to the pan and let them saute. Then add the graham masala, chili powder, cinnamon, and cayenne pepper.
4. Add the tomato sauce, water, and cream. Let it simmer.
5. Add the remaining bit of butter and let it melt into the curry.
6. Place the water and cornstarch into a measuring cup and stir until the cornstarch has been saturated. Add it to the curry and stir until the curry thickens. Add in the chicken.
7. Serve over rice and pita bread.
