Chapter 34-United

Half of a week later I was walking about the mass hotel, or as I had learned; castle. Yes, you heard me right. The castle was broken into two halves, the front was the hotel and the other was the castle, which also happened to be the where everyone met when they needed to collaborate.
I pressed my fingers to my neck and massaged it slightly as I thought about the fact that Ashered owned such a huge place and my parents had secretly run it whilst I was oblivious.
I had made my way out of the room and down a flight of stairs to the kitchen. It was filled with foods and snacks of all kinds. I grabbed a handful of things and pushed open the door to find a kitchen. It was vast and bigger than I expected. There were tables and it resembled a fancy cafeteria.

I tensed, my face reddening as I realized other people were sat down at different tables. I looked around my eyes widening as so many people turned to me before a hand waved to me. It was Gale and Xavier another girl sitting beside her.

I smiled and waved, suddenly not caring that I was dressed in a long summer dress with my hair down and no makeup.
"Gale." I said practically throwing my food on the table before wrapping my brunette friend into a hug. "I'm glad you're okay." I said pulling away to assess her.
She laughed. "I'm good, my head only hurts a little. I'm glad that you are okay and dude." Gale leaned in to whisper quietly.  "You know you have like six lovers and they are supernatural." I looked at her surprised. " You know this?" I asked taken aback.
Gale bobbed her head. "You've been out for awhile. I've even been taking place in some of the training exercises."
I nodded looking at Gales fit body which showcased her tan muscles. "You were always good at that kinda stuff." I laughed.

Gale laughed slightly and sat back down, grabbing one of the bags of chips that I had snatched. "Hey Xavier." I said waving slightly at him. He smiled slightly, flashing a hint of fang.

I felt a chill up my arms and Xavier snorted slightly. "I'm not gonna bite you."

The girl beside him snickered. "That's debatable, she is your Amor." She said drawing out the last word. I felt my face flush red. Frankly I did not think that any of the men I had met in the last couple of days were destined for me and I had only one on my mind.

I looked to the girl and watched as Xavier hissed at her. The girl laughed harder, her black hair flowing around her as she leaned her head back. "Please, Xavier you know as well as I do that you aren't going to fight me unless of course you want to hear shit from mom because I will tell her." I scrunched my eyebrows at the girl before realizing that her features were younger than I had thought, she must be his younger sister.

The girl stood and took her food, still laughing as she disappeared into the kitchen. Xavier frowned in her direction before turning to me and watching my facial expression. "That is my younger sister I brought her with me to show her the ropes, she is supposed to become the second in command when she is old enough." He waved his hand dismisevely and I nodded in acknowledgement before grabbing an apple and biting into it.

Xavier slightly opened his mouth to say something when his attention snapped to somewhere else and he got up. "I will talk with you later." I was confused but didn't question as he left.

I turned to Gale who had gone through two bags of snacks. "How are you?" I asked. Gale's eyes glanced over me and she pushed her food away from her, crossing her arms loosely over her chest.

She shrugged. "I can't go home. Ashered is worried that Simone might come and harm me." I swallowed and picked at the wood on the edge of the table. "I'm sorry, Gale." I said softly. Gale looked at the floor, her eyes starting to slightly glaze before tears slipped down her cheeks.

I reached my hand across the table in an attempt to grab her hand but she pulled away. " I just- I need- I'm gonna go." She said stumbling over her words before leaving the table.

I left my hand lying on the table, shocked and hurt. I had broken my friend. I felt the presence of someone sit beside me and heard the voice of Arman. "It is not easy to go through what she went through. I know that you share in experiencing the torture of Simone but she is not as strong." I looked at Arman, his eyes boring into mine with all of their intricate colors.

"How can you say that." I snapped defensiely. Arman eyed me and my glare before completely changing the topic. "The faries will be annoucing their new leader tonight, you should attend.

I swiped a piece of my hair behind my hair and shook my head. "I don't know."

Arman looked at me his face unreadable.

"Everyone is here for you." He said lowly.
I felt embrassarment fill me, "I'm sorry." Arman placed his hand on mine and smiled. "I did mean it in a rude way, forgive me for my tone." I smiled awkwardly. "Oh, no its fine."

I said before he slightly smiled and left. I rubbed my hand trying to rid my self of the small tingles that traveled through my skin.
