Chapter 14- You should have spoken up

After I arrived back in the room, shaking I striped and got into the shower. After slowly rinsing off I looked in the mirror and sucked in a breath, Almost my entire back was red. I ached just turning my neck to look at it. " Hope." I jumped and sucked in a breath from the sharp pain from the bruise. Why did this always happen? " In here." I said wrapping a towel around myself. I opened the door to find my mom her firey red hair stuck to her face, the smell of sweat seeping through her. She must have been training. She smiled at me and glanced inside the door, catching a glimpse of my red back. " Christ, Hope what did you do?" She asked beginning to push on the door. I took my hand and grinded my jaw pushing back. " I took to hot of a shower." I said glancing to the fogged mirror with a circle I had rubbed out with the end of my towel. She looked at me questionably before sighing. " Amy sent up some old clothes of hers and I went in town and got you some things earlier today. " Oh thanks." I said taking the long nightgown that she had stretched out to me. It was ankle length, purple and silk. I ran my hand over the material, the other holding up the towel.

"Thanks mom." I smiled as she turned to leave. "Wait I have a question." My mom turned to look at me. "Yes?
" Are we ever going home." My moms face softened. "Darling, Sir Asherd is your special. You both are bound to be together and trust me when I say it would be painful to be apart." I opened my mouth to ask something else but my mother left.

After staring at the door she had left through awhile longer, I changed into the lightweight dress and picked through the clothing I had seen her set folded on the dresser. I pulled on a white long sweater that I saw and grit my teeth as it grazed my color changing skin. I put away the clothing and soon enough I realized the sun was setting. With the glow of it tickling the ends of my hands from where I sat on the bed, Asherd came in. I watched him come in and saw a graveness to his expression. "Are you alright?" I asked not moving from my spot, fearful that he could see the pain I was in. Asherd looked to me and didn't say anything, there wasn't so much a hint of a smile. Instead he came over to me and cupped my face and pressed a hungry kiss to my lips. I gasped into his mouth, butterflies filling me. my hands grasped at his elbows as he deepened the kiss and pressed my body into the mattress. I grit my teeth in pain once more and closed my eyes. " Did I hurt you." He whispered worriedly, lips hovering above mine. He couldn't know that I was hurt. He would flip and that would be the end of training. I shook my head tracing his jawline with my hand. " No." I said softly and it was true. I had chosen to train and I intended to get better. He accepted my response and hiked up my dress, running his hands over my lower thigh, pressing tender kisses along my shoulder blade. I felt like I was in heaven the throbbing in my back a distant thought. He kissed me again on the mouth tounge dominating mine, right hand slipping down the edge of my sweater. I was breathing heavily when I realized that he would see my back. "Stop." I cried, my heart pounding. I shot up and took the sweater around me before he could see anything and wrapped it tightly around my chest. He bent down on his knees so that he was lower than I, where I sat on the bed. " I'm sorry." He whispered painfully. I shook my head lifting his gorgeous face so that I could see it in all of its glory. "I got carried away." He growled angrily to himself hands digging into the sheets beside me. He looked away from me. " No, Asherd I just-."

"I scared you." He bit out. I went to tell him that wasn't true but before my eyes he was out of the door. I gaped at the door. I had caused him to get angry.

In the middle of the night I awoke to Asherd. I was lying on my stomach out like a light when he flickered on a dim lamp on the opposite side of the room. He shuffled around in the dimness and flickered it off before he was beside me. " You're awake." He stated. I hummed in response and he was silent. "You didn't hurt me if anything you keep me from doing wreckless things." I mummered before once more I was asleep.

When I woke up I was stiff and I was convinced I was paralyzed. My heart was hammering and I could barley move, the bathroom door was open and I felt tears rapidly stream down my face. With as much force as I could I attempted to stand. My feet were rockety. A sob broke through me followed by a cry of pain and Asherds feet were beating against the wooden floor shouting my name before I was on the ground. I hit it hard and rough and then everything was black. And damn I should have said something sooner.
