Chapter Five- Salty rainy tears outside a hotel

Half an hour into the drive I broke the silence. "Stop." I said looking to Daniel whose eyes were glued onto the road a hard expression strung across his chisled features. Daniel ignored me before I yelled at him again. " Stop!" Daniel looked at me and I eyed the blood running down his face. He grunted not fully agreeing but also not wanting to argue and pulled into a hotel parking lot.

"Hope we should keep going." He instructed. I felt my eyes water. "My parents.." I whispered. Daniel gripped the steering wheel shoving the car in park he ran a hand over his face. "I don't know." Water pooled from my eyes as I pushed open the passenger door into the pouring rain. "I have to see if they're okay." I yelled over the rain as I came face to face with Daniel. "Ite not safe." He said. But gritting my teeth I shoved past him looking at him with lashes that dripped with tears and drops of rain. I felt it soak through my clothes not a care in the world. "I can't leave. I- they can't die." I say my voice cracking as I fall to the ground water splashing around me. I press against the concrete. "Why do I matter?" I ask my voice shaking as Daniel leaned down before me. "Because you're special." Daniel whisperd. I look up into his eyes and look at him stunning as ever. Dark, enticing eyes, sharp features and wet hair that covered his eyes. He reached for my hand before placing one around my waist and helping me up. I let him. Numb to all the mental pain. I gently swiped a hand across a cut on his cheek. "You're bleeding."
Daniel chuckled. "I know, Hope." Sighing and running a hand through his hair he grins. " well I suppose that since we are wet, we might as well get a room. So as to not let you freeze to death."
The ghost of a smile appeared on my face as he turned and took the keys out of the ignition.

30 minutes later I had my pajams laying over the towel rack drying and I was wearing a big shirt from the gas station across the steet that went down to my knees. It was black and comfy and pushing my wet hair aside I made my way into the room. Sadly enough the only room avaliable had only one bed.
Daniel sat on the floor. Sopping wet. " Whats the plan?" I asked sitting down on the bed and gazing down at him. Daniel smiled reassuringly. "I will tell you when you awake, for now, rest you need it." He said glancing at the clock which read 4:45 am.
I sighed heavily before nodding to tired for words. I rolled into the covers as he walked into the restroom turning on the shower.
