Part 9- milkshakes

I pulled up to the diner changed into my uniform. When ever I have to work after school I try harder on my appearance because I make the best tips when I'm pretty.
The diners usually a little show up until happy hour hits and that when things get a busy.

It was around 5 and things where starting to calm down when Mattia walked through the door and sat down at one of the booths. I walked over to him.

"Hey what are you doing here?"

"I was hungry and wanted to see you so I came" replied.

"Okay so what do you want?" I asked.
"You" *cough* *cough* he smiled. I rolled my eyes playfully.

"Tia seriously I have other people to tend to what do you want" I said.

"Just get me a burger and a water"

I walked over and grabbed the jug poured him a glass. Mattia took a picture of me pouring water. He captioned it "hopefully she doesn't spill it on me.... again 😳" and posted it to his story. I went back to tending to other tables.

**Cynthia's POV**
I was sitting with my girls I'm my room on Snapchat and saw Mattia posted something. I clicked on it and saw he was with Sadie. I was filled with anger.
"Hey where does Sadie work?" I asked my friend.

"I think she works at Speedy's, that place is actually good!"
I looked at the snap one more time.
"Y'all down for some milkshakes ?" I asked.

"Sure let's go" the girls said.

**Back to Sadie's POV**

Things showed down and there as no one other than Mattia in the restaurant to I sat down with him and we chatted. He was showing me videos of his soccer games. I didn't understand what was going on but I pretended to know. We where talking when someone walked in the door. I got up ready to take their order when I saw
Cynthia and her group of friends. They sat down at a booth and I stood their frozen, I looked over at Mattia and he looked at me and I walked over to the girls.

"Hey, what can I get you guys" I forcefully smiled

"I herd the milkshake here where really good!" Cynthia said cheerfully.

"Yea they are actually"

"Great we'll have 4 vanilla shakes then, and a small fry" Cynthia said.

"Okay! Will that be all?"

"Yes"

"Okay I'll be right back with your food" I said turning around. I rolled my eyes and made a disgust face. Mattia laughed but tried to cover it up.

I came back out with the shakes and fries.
"All right here ya go, four shakes and a small fry" I said as I distributed the shakes among the girls. I walked back towards the kitchen but herd the sound of something dropping on the ground. I turned around and saw that the fries where in the floor.

"Omg clumsy me! I dropped the fries. Be a dear and pick them up?" Cynthia said.

"Ofc that what I'm here for" I knelt down and started to pick up the fries. If anything I was mad that good fries went to waste.

**cynthia's POV**
When Sadie brought our food I fake dropped my fries so she can pick them up. While she was bent over picking them up I pulled out my phone. I started recording, picked up my shake and poured it all over Sadie's head.

"What the hell!" She screamed.

"That's what you get for taking my man"

My friends where laughing and they threw their shakes at her too. She was completely covered.

still recording we chanted "home wrecker" at her over and over again. But someone called out my name.
"Wtf Cynthia" . I turned and saw Mattia.

"Omg Mattia! I didn't you were here" I smiled sarcastically.

"You really think this is gonna make me want you back? Well is not. I don't like you anymore and I'm honestly disgusted that I ever did like you in the first place" he said. Hearing him say that brought anger to me. I got up and pushed Sadie to the ground. Mattia ran up to her and helped her up.
"Come one girls let's leave!" I demanded. We got up and walked out the door.

**Back to Sadie POV**
I was on the floor completely bind from all the smoothie in my eyes. Mattia helped me up and soon my coworkers came out from the back. They started cleaning up the mess while Mattia helped me get milkshake off my face.
"I'm gonna beat the fucking shit out of her"

"No your not" Mattia responded.

"Why not?? Look what she did to me" I said.
"I know but she is my ex" Mattia said.

"Okay and?? I don't fucking care!! And your really gonna let her get away with what she did?" I yelled at him.

"Ik what she did was bad but she's just hurt over our breakup. Give her a break"

"Wow your really defending her Mattia?! Are you kidding me?!" I argued.

"No I'm not defending her is just-"

"No I don't want to fucking hear it. Idk why you are defending her" I got up and walked to the bathroom. I pushed the door opened and screamed under my breath out of frustration. I was mad. Not only at Cynthia but at Mattia. I used the sink to wash my face. I herd a knock at the door.

"Hey I'm sorry" Mattia apologized. I didn't respond.
"You can't really be mad at me"

"Well I am" I said leaving the bathroom.
"I'm sorry I just don't want you doing anything stupid that will bite you in the ass later. I'm just looking out for you" Mattia explained.

"I don't want to argue with you anymore"
"I'm going home to take a shower" I said.

"I can give you a ride so you car won't get messy" Mattia said.

"I'm fine" I said walking out of the restaurant. Mattia followed me and opened the car door.

"I get that you're mad and you want to retaliate but think it through. I'm serious don't do anything stupid" he said.

"Bye Mattia " I hugged him, once again getting his clothes dirty, then I got in my car and drove home.

I got home and ran straight into the shower. I was beyond pissed and knew I had to get Cynthia back. I just didn't know how I would do it.
