Part 34- Back home

I woke up to the sound of the trumpets once again. I had a terrible head ache, I always do when I cry a lot before I sleep.

"Get up hoe" Emma jumped on me. I pulled my covers down revealing my Buffy eyes.
"You good? You're eyes are red, like you've been crying"

"I'm fine" I said sitting up. She sat next to me and held my hand.

"I know Lauren's usually the one you talk to but I'm here for you" she smiled.

"Thanks Emma, but I need to think, I'll tell you soon" I replied. She smiled and gripped my hand lightly. The director burst threw the doors again,

"Wake up sleepy chicks! Pack up EVERYTHING, the school won't be responsible of anything you leave behind. I'll hand out lunch baggies and you'll sit in the extract same busses as you came up in"

Hearing that made me roll me eyes. I didn't want to see Mattia let alone sit next to him on a bus. I packed my bag and sat on my bed.

"Lowkey don't want to go home" Emma said.

"I do, it was fun while it lasted" I shrugged. Emma awkwardly stood up.
"I'm sorry, I'm just thinking a lot about stuff" I apologized.

"It's okay" she smiled. The director came in and lined us up again. She handed us little brown paper bags that had a muffin, juice box and bag of chips. We walked out to the entrance and went to our original busses. The whole group met up, Mattia wouldn't look at me and I didn't either. The tension between us was thick and obvious, you could cut it with a knife. We walked on the bus and ale sat next to me instead of Mattia.

"You good" he turned to me.

"Yea" I sighed. I wouldn't be surprised if Mattia told them what happened. I'm pretty sure he did. The girls already knew something was up but didn't ask.
The bus ride was silent, as we left the mountains we started getting cell service again. We texted our friends who didn't get to go on the trip. I sat on my phone when I got a message.

Ale: hey
Sadie: you're sitting right next to me😂
Ale: Ik but I wanted to talk in private
Sadie: okay..what do you want
Ale: what's wrong
Sadie: Mattia didn't tell you?
Ale: no, he's been quiet all day
Sadie: well we aren't on best terms right now
Ale: AGAIN!!
Sadie: ouch😑
Ale: haha I'm sorry, care to tell me why?
Sadie: later I don't feel like speaking of it
Ale: fair enough, I'll be here when you do feel like it
Sadie: okay🥺
Ale: I love you
Sadie: love you too<3

The busses arrived back in the school parking.

"Students..it was my pleasure to take care of you fine people, our little secret, you are one of the best classes I've seen" the director said teary eyed.
We got up and climbed off the bus. While we waited for our parents to pick us up we talked.

"The trip makes it official, we got finals week, and then our last week as seniors" ale said.

"Last two weeks of our high school careers" kairi added.

"We have to make the best of it" Emma smiled. We were all emotional.

"I love you guys" I said. we group hugged.

"Don't cry, let's save that for graduation" Marissa wiped her tears away. We laughed. My mom pulled up.

"I have to go guys" I waved. They all said bye, all besides Mattia. I got in my car and let out a heavy breathe.

"How was the trip?" My mom asked.

"Urgh it was so fun!" I smiled.

"Great to hear that! Tell me all about it"
