Since the seniors went on our trip, we got to skip out on Monday. The rest of the grades still had to go to school and used the extra day to prepare for finals. Actual test days were just Tuesday-Thursday. Everyone was given Friday off but the seniors had to practice the graduation ceremony from 12-4. The school was strict and always like it sharp and organized. Just like a solider march.

Tuesday:
I woke up early and changed into a comfy outfit. I ate a big breakfast because my mom wanted me to be 'fully energized'. Today I had my Calc and English finals. I wasn't scared for them, I never am. School came easy to me. I drove to school and went straight to class. Rules were more strict during finals week and we weren't allowed to hang out in the mornings. The finals went great and after school the girls and I went shoe shopping. We were in need of new heels for graduation.

Wednesday:
It hit me that I only have 2 1/2 days to make up my decision if I'm going to Harvard or Stalkton. I couldn't think straight all morning which sucked because I had my hardest finals were today, Italian and AP Government. I managed to push through the finals. I rushed home that day and make every possible chart to help me decided which school I wanted to go to. I probably made 20 different Pro's and Con's lists. I even called random numbers and asked for their advice. In the end I was left even more confused.

Thursday:
I woke up early so I could get a coffee before school, Today I had my AP physics and Ceramics finals. I'd usually be worried about physics but the answer key was leaked by a student and the teachers were clueless. After getting ready I drove to Mattia's house.

"Hey" he smiled, getting on the passenger's side.

"Good morning" I smiled back. I drove to starbucks and ordered our drinks. Mattia walked me to my first class since they were close to each other. I breezed through the physics final, as did everyone else. the teacher was left speechless as to how we all finished within 40 minutes. Ceramics was chill, my pot was already done so i was on my phone the entire time, we had chips and a movie playing just like the 'parties' we had in elementary school. I was on Omegle asking strangers for advice (i do that irl btw). School ended and I dropped Mattia off at his house.

"Your party's tomorrow right?" he said leaning on the car door.

"Yeah, it's at my house, 6pm" I said.

"Alright, i'll tell the rest". He waved goodbye and I drove home. I went up to my room and laid on my bed, now that all my finals were over I could fully focus on my decision. Even though it wasn't a huge deal I tend to overthink things and stress about it. I decided to shower to help myself clear my mind. Once I finished, I changed into leggings and a tank top, wrapped my hair in a towel and started doing my skin routine. I noticed on the right top corner of my mirror was the Harvard letter, the other side was a Polaroid of me riding on Mattia's back.
"Fukk" I yelled in frustration. I threw the bottle of product on my counter, knocking over everything, the framed photo of my father fell on the floor. "shit, sorry dad" i said picking it up. My eyes watered as I rubbed my thumb on the glass. "Help me dad, I don't know what to do," I cried. I sat on the floor holding the picture to my chest. I lifted my chin to the ceiling, facing the letter and polaroid again, Tears rolling down my face. I feel back to the floor closing my eyes, slowly drifting to sleep.

Friday:
I woke up at 10 on the floor with a blanket draped over me. I still had the picture of my father gripped in my hand. I sat up and looked around my room, the items were still knocked over and scattered on the floor, I got up and started picking them up.

"Good morning," my mom said walking in.

"hey" I replied.

"You okay? i heard you last night" she sat in my bed. I walked over and plopped right next to her, placing my head on her laps.

"I was just stressed, I asked dad for advice and got too overwhelmed," I said as she stroked her hands through my hair.

"I'm sorry" she whispered.

"Do you have some Advil? I have a headache" i said standing up.

"Yes I'll get one from downstairs, get dressed and come down to eat. You leave in 1 hour, clean your room in the meantime" she said leaving my room. I put on a pair of jeans and a hoodie and headed downstairs.

"Mattia's gonna give me a ride to Grad practice" I said , taking the pill my mom left on the table.

"That's fine, can you pick up napkins for the party later?" she said.

"Sure, I don't even know why you're throwing a party," I said.

"I'm trying to rub in front of Karen's face that My daughter is going to college, that woman gets on my nerves" she scolded. i laughed and ate my food.

***
"Mom, I'm leaving" I yelled heading to the door.

"Okay" she yelled back. I walked outside and got in Mattia's car.

"Hey," I said.

"Hello" he smiled.

"This grad practice is going to suck, I don't want to stand in the hot for 4 hours" I complained.

"Yea its mad stupid" he laughed. We drove all the way to the school listening to music. I was thinking about how much I'd miss drives with Mattia if I moved to Massachusetts. We arrived and walked to the football field.

"Boys over there, girls to the left" a man said. I turned left to the herd of girls, where we were lined up in specific order and given numbers. I was number 84. The whole thing was confusing but we got the hang of it by the end.

Four hours later we were finally dismissed. I walked out the field completely sweaty from head to toe.

"Finally you're here" Mattia yelled from inside his car.

"Sorry, it's so hot" I said getting in.

"Want to go get some ice cream?"

"Sure" I nodded. "Oh and my mom wants me to pick up napkins for the party"

"Okay, we'll go to Mo's for ice cream and walk to the party store next to it" he said starting the car. We drove to Mo's and walked,

"Hello can I have two scoops of vanilla" I asked.

"I'm not gonna get anything" Mattia said. I grabbed my cup and we started walking to the party store next door.

"Have you come to a decision yet?" He asked.

"Not really, although I'm starting to lean more towards a school" I sighed.

"What school?"

"I can't say, I'm already super stressed about it, talking about it with you-"

"No I get it, I'm sorry"

"It's okay" I said grabbing some napkins. We paid for them and went back to mattia's car. I finished my ice cream on the drive back home.

"It's at 6 right?" He asked.

"Yes sir" I smiled. He hugged me and I went into my house.

"Mom I got the napkins" I announced. She ran up to me and pulled my upstairs.

"Go take a shower quickly! You've got 40 minutes till the party starts" she said taking the napkins and running back downstairs.
