Part 32- Double date

It was Sunday morning, Lauren and I planned a double date to the movie theater. Mattia was supposed to pick me up at 5. I woke up late since i didn't have to work today.

"When are you coming downstairs? you've been in bed all afternoon" my mom said walking into my room.

"I'm about to get in the shower, I'm going on a double date with Lauren, Alejandro, and
Mattia" i explained getting out of bed.

"oh" my mom smirked. I playfully rolled my eyes.
"You know I like that little Alejandro kid," she laughed.

"mom No! hes like an older brother to me, plus im already happily with mattia"

"Oh right, mattia, I'd like to properly meet him, we didn't talk much on prom day"

"Okay, I'll tell him to come over a bit earlier," I said.

"Alright, let me know when he's here" she left. I took a quick shower and changed into some jeans with a hoodie and converse. I pulled out my phone and texted Mattia.

Sadie: can you stop by earlier? My mom wants to 'properly' meet you.
Mattia: What! Now you got me even more nervous
Sadie: lmao why? You already met her
Mattia: And? Still scary, you're gonna meet my parents now. See how you'll like it.
Sadie: I'll like that very much☺️
Mattia: Mhm I'll be there around 4
Sadie: okay! See you later then
Mattia: see ya

I walked downstairs and grabbed a cup of fruit out the fridge.

"How's work" I asked my mom trying to make small talk.

"It's going good, I got promoted" she smiled. I hugged her out of excitement.

"That's so good mom!"

"Yes so now you can stop working so hard?" She said.

"Mom, that's not why I work a lot, I do it to keep myself busy, so I won't focus on dad" looked down.

"I know honey, but you can hang out with your friends" she insisted.

"No I'm fine, plus I like the numbers on my bank account" I laughed.

"Alright then, call me out when Mattia's here" She said walking in her room. I sat down on the couch and continued to eat my fruits, I turned on the Tv and started watching a random show.

*skip time*

Mid episode I got a text from Mattia.

Mattia: I'm here:)
Sadie: okay! I'm coming!

"Mom! He's here" I screamed running to the door. I opened it to find Mattia standing nervously. I giggled at the scared look on his face.

"Hello Mattia" My mom said from behind me.

"Hello Miss" he gulped. I stood aside trying my hardest not to burst out laughing.

"Come in" She said. He walked in and stood by the table.
"So what are you and Sadie planning to do" She questioned.

"We are planning on going to the movie theater miss! Of course with your permission! And we are also accompanied by a couple friends too" he blurt out.

"Mhm.. and how do you suppose I'll let you take Sadie out after you broke her heart" she scolded. I froze at her words. Mattia turned to me scared shitless.
"I'm totally kidding" my mom laughed.

"Ah..haha" Mattia laughed nervously.

"Seriously though, I didn't like you for breaking my daughters heart, but it seems you just messed up and actually have very good intentions with her" she smiled.
