**2 weeks later**

It's been two weeks, life's been normal. Mattia and I haven't gotten in any fights. Lauren ended up loosing her virginity to ale after the movie theater double date. The group all signed up for the senior trip. Today we leave.

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock. I had to get up extra early to be able to catch the bus. It was 4 in the morning. I climbed out of bed and changed into jeans and a T-shirt. I walked downstairs to my pre-packed bag, I didn't have much. Just a bathing suit and a couple changes of clothes. My mom was already making me something to eat, along with a snack for the bus ride, since it would be a 3 hour long drive to the campsite.

"You ready?" She said handing me the lunch.

"Yep" I said picking up my bags

"Alright lets go" I followed her to the car. Before I got in my mom said, " can you go check the mail, I forgot too yesterday". I went to mailbox and reached in, I pulled out an envelope. It read:

   Harvard University
To: Sadie J. Taylor

"Is there anything?" My mom called out. I looked at the envelope and shoved it in my backpack.
"No, nothing there" I said getting into the car. I didn't want to say anything, just in case I didn't get in. We drove to the school parking lot where 200 other seniors awaited to board the busses.

"Have fun honey, and be safe" my mom said as I got out.

"Okay! Love you mom" I waved. She drove away and I meet up with everyone.

"Y'all ready?" Kairi exclaimed.

"Yes!" We all said in unison. We walked to the furthest bus because there was as barley any people waiting to board.

"This is going to be fun" Emma squealed.

"IKR! I can't wait to swim, I haven't swam in forever" Emma said.

"Yea for being rich you don't have a pool" I told Her.

"I'll tell my dad to build one" she smiled. Even thought it was summer, the mornings where still cold. I stayed close to Mattia, cuddling him to keep warmth.

"Alright students! Line up, you'll tell me your name and take a sit. All seats will be filled up so choose who you sit with wisely" a teacher announced. We quickly got in line and one by one pilled onto the bus. I got in first, Mattia climbed on next. He sat next to me. Everyone else sat around us. The bus ride was calm, we ended up sleeping the whole ride.

I woke up, Mattia leaning on me. I nudged him awake.

"Wake the rest, we are almost there" I told him. He woke the rest up one by one. The busses stopped in front of an entrance.

"Everyone take everything with you, the busses will be leaving. We are going to step out and walk to the campfire pit. You'll await further instructions then" the woman announced.

We got up and walked out.

"Where are the campfire pits?" Mattia asked.

"Look at the signs dumbass" kairi pushed him, he pointed to a sign that showed the direction to the pit. We laughed and walked in the camp following the signs. There was a group of kids around the huge pit. The staff announced that we'll be bunked by same gender and last name. I was lucky enough to be bucked in then cabin as Emma. Lauren and Marissa also got to stay together in a different cabin.

Emma and I went to our cabin and places our bags on the bunks we chose.

"Ladies, head back to the pit when you're done, we'll start with the first class, after all three classes we'll have plenty of fun after. Tonight we'll have a marshmallow fight" a woman announced.

I sat on the bunk, remembering the letter.
"You coming?" Emma asked.

"Yea" I said getting up. We walked to the pit and met up with the girls. We were separated into groups. The first class was a pathway course that told us about the different paths we could take after high school. The whole time I couldn't take my mind off the letter.

"This is so boring" Marissa whispered in my ear. I snapped out of my thoughts. Not long after the first course was over. We walked over to the second class. this one was about financial advice, the most boring of them all. The last one was the most interesting, it was basically advice on how to not die and how to be responsible at parties and with our new found of freedom. Each class took about an hour. After all three we were given lunch. The boys and us meet up at a table under an oak tree.

"How were yours guys classes?" Ale asked.

"Boring asf" Emma groaned.

"I swear this was supposed to be fun" kairi complained.

"Hope the marshmallow fight and night party make up for the three hours of misery" lauren said. The rest of the afternoon we spent chilling and messing around.

***

Night time rolled around. The fire pit was lit and marshmallows where brought in, everyone started roasting and rounding up their ammo. Those that didn't want to get dirty lines up on the side lines. Everyone else put on plastic rain ponchos and shower caps. Emma and the boys decided to get dirty. Marissa, Lauren and I loaded up as much as we can on marshmallows.

"Alright everyone! Here are the rules; throw the marshmallows at the ones wearing the bags. Avoid face and genital areas, other than that pretend they are the bitch teachers, fight starts on the count of three....1...2...3!!" The director yelled.

A rainstorm of marshmallows started falling onto everyone. People scrammed getting hit, slipping, and running into each other. I recorded as the boys fell on their asses. Mattia ran up to me and pulled me into the crowd. I felt myself become sticky, my hair clumping up. The fight cooled down and I jumped on mattia.

"It's all over my hair" I cried. Mattia kept on laughing. The rest of the group found each other. Lauren and Marissa where laughing and recording. Everyone changed and attempted their best to clean themselves. The rest of the night we spent around the bond fire.

"Okay that fight was fun" Lauren said.

"Easy for you to say, you weren't dragged in" I snapped.

"Chill it was fun" Mattia laughed.

"No, I didn't have the proper protection on! Unlike you" I said. Mattia Hugged me.

"I'll wash out tomorrow in the lake when we go swimming" kairi said. We sat in front of the fire till it burned out. The directors ordered us to head to our cabins. Emma and I walked in and laid on our bunks.

"Today was actually really fun" she said.

"Yea it was, tomorrow is going to be better" I smiled. There wasn't good reception so we couldn't go on our phones. We fell asleep to the noises of nature.
