The awkward encounters with Aj remained throughout the week, but it was tolerable since I always met with Tawan every meal break so I was able to take out my frustrations on our rooftop lunch breaks. Besides, we sat beside each other as classmates so I really had no choice but to carry on with my usual studying while trying to avoid contact with Aj.
"Everyone, I have an announcement to make. Please sit down.", Our adviser said as she entered the room. It was a friday, and her giving us announcements on the last schoolday of the week wasn't really a good news for us as they were either additional workload over the weekend, or just another exam coming up the week after. In unison, the class sighed and frowned the moment the adviser said she had an announcement.
"As you all are already in your senior year, the school has arranged a recollection activity for all the seniors of the school. Next week, you're all required to attend the trip to Doi Inthanon and engage in activities that will allow you to reflect on your experiences as high school students."
The frowns of my classmates shifted to wide smiles as they heard the news, and they eventually cheered gleefully at the thought of going on a trip to Doi Inthanon. I too, was very pleased with the announcement as I saw it as an opportunity to have a good time amid the stressful things that had been going on with my life.
"This is a great activity for you before your parents send you off to college, so we expect full attendance on the day of the trip. Is everything clear?"
The class roared 'yes' and when the teacher left the room, and my classmates quickly gossiped about the trip. Everyone's faces lit up at the thought of what they were going to wear, do, and eat at Doi Inthanon. They even planned on bringing liquor to the trip as if they had already forgotten what the purpose of the whole trip was. I smiled as I looked at my classmates and joined their discussion too. As what Aj had said, they did not seem to know about us and Tawan as they acted perfectly normal talking to me, and reacted all the same. I felt relieved knowing that.
Dismissal came and Tawan and I rode his bike on the way home. Since it was a friday and we had no schoolworks that needed to be done, he decided to crash at my place and kill time watching netflix.
"Did your adviser already announce about the school retreat next week?", I asked in the middle of our viewing of teen titans. I didn't really like watching cartoons, but he insisted on watching them. He said they're the only believable superheroes created since they're a group of troubled teens who banded together to save the world while solving algebra.
"Yeah...it's pretty lame though."
"Why? I think it's pretty cool."
"I don't know, I'm just not a people person. I'd choose Teen Titans over a gathering with guys I'm not really friends with."
"Teen titans over them huh? So does that also mean you'd choose a gang of comic heroes over me?"
"Yes."
"Asshole.", I said as I hit him with the pillow I was holding.
Tawan got up and tackled me recklessly, holding both of my hands and putting his entire weight on my body to restrict ny movement.
"You really think I'd choose Teen Titans over you? I went through a lot just to kiss you. You'll always be my priority.", He said as he planted a kiss on my neck, rendering me ticklish.
"S-stop! It's making me ticklish!", I said as I gasped for air from laughing too much. My neck's a soft spot for kisses so I almost instantly feel ticklish when someone touches it. After a few moments of trying to stop him from kissing my neck, he eventually stopped but still kept my hands locked on his.
"Okay, I'll stop kissing your neck. I'm going for your lips now."
My heart raced as I looked at his face, completely serious and looking straight into my lips. His tan skin was gleaming with his own sweat that trickled down his adams apple, which made me weak for some reason I still don't know. I felt my hands grew weaker as I look at his face. He was...dashing, a sight I've seen countless of times but still gets me breathless every single time. I swallowed at the sight of Tawan being completely above me, and how he seemed dominant over my fragile body. He moved his legs a little closer and our toes touched, sending a tingling sensation down my system
He seemed to have known it, as he continued brushing his legs onto mine. Then, almost instantly as his legs played with mine, he buried his lips onto me. I struggled at first, trying to resist his kiss, but later on gave in and kissed him back. It was torrid, entirely different from the first time we kissed. The moment I opened my mouth, his tongue entered and played with mine, and I could feel it touching my teeth. We were sweating beads even with the room's temperature being ice cold, and I could hear our hearts race as our tongues danced like they were following a rhythm. His tongue tasted of menthol and cherries, it was completely addicting that I couldn't bring myself to stop kissing him.
"You're getting good at this", He said as he continued kissing me. His hands were travelling through my bare skin, but it was the kiss was more than enough for me to process that my body gave in and allowed his fingers to linger all over.
"I have a great teacher that's why."
I had no idea how long we kissed, but when we finished my own lips tasted of cherries as well, and I was completely fatigued and out of breath.
"I'm thirsty, I'm getting water. Do you want some?", I said as I stood up and got out of the bed.
"I'm good, the kiss quenched my thirst already.", Tawan replied as he but his lip.
"Whatever", I quickly turned around and smiled as I made my way to the kitchen to get a glass of water.
Just as I was about to drink the water, I felt pain in my stomach, so unbearable that I winced and dropped my glass on the floor. It crashed and broke into pieces, as I was too much in excruciation that I was not able to catch it. The moment the glass shattered on the floor, Tawan ran to the kitchen and saw me in an awkward angle holding my stomach.
"What happened? Are you okay?", He said as he ran to me and supported my weight as we walked out of the kitchen. He placed me on a chair carefully and scanned my feet if I stepped on any glass.
"Are you okay? why's the glass on the floor?", He asked, completely worried of me.
I didn't want to spoil the amazing night we had, so I decided not to tell him about my stomach pain and instead thought of an alibi why the glass was shattered.
"It's nothing, I was just being careless and the glass I was holding slipped in my hands."
"Are you sure?"
"Y-yeah...I can be quite careless at times. There's nothing to worry about."
"Okay then. Let's get you to the bed and I'll clean the shards of glass on the floor."
I lied on the bed and rested for the night, trying to disregard the immeasurable stomach pain I experienced. Little did I know, that was only the start of the suffering I had to endure.
