"What do you wanna eat?"
We were talking at the kitchen and I was sitting on one of the chairs on the counter while Tawan was busily rummaging through the contents of their fridge.
"I don't mind eating anything, whatever's fine."
I was looking through the outside scenery from the kitchen when I heard the doors of the fridge close, but Tawan sat beside me empty handed.
"I'm starving, but I don't like the food in the fridge. Should we get a delivery?"
"Hmmm, isn't that fatty?"
"I don't eat fastfood that often, but if you don't like it then I won't.", He said, his lips forming into a pout as he looked at the floor like a five year old kid asking for ice cream.
He looked cute as he swayed his foot on the stool, looking at me and back at the floor like a child. I enjoyed that sight of him so I waited a bit more, until I heard his stomach wamble.
"Should we just eat a flavorless, dull salad?", Tawan said as he patted his stomach in circles, his mouth pouting.
"It's okay we can order delivery, I'm just admiring your pouty face that's why I didn't answer.", I said as I chuckled.
In an instant, his child-like behavior vanished, and a serious looking Tawan sat in front of me. His plump lips went back to its captivating shape, his eyes pointed and adamant, almost--no, completely compelling. His child-like attitude completely dissipated and sitting beside me was an alluring tan skinned boy.
Little by little, he leaned towards me. He smelt of soap, and his still slightly damp hair dangling on his face as he neared me. I felt my heart race as our distance narrowed, and I felt my throat go dry as his moistened face drew closer. We sat on the kitchen, where nothing but the light from the counter top illuminating our faces, only the two of us sharing the enormous house. As his face moved closer, the smell of his breath entered my nostrils. I readied myself for a kiss and closed my eyes, waiting for his lips to land on mine.
A few seconds had passed and my lips remained dry. Then, I heard the sound of dialling beside me. When I opened my eyes, Tawan was already dialing a number on the phone that was placed beside me. He knew I was expecting something to happen as he was smiling from ear to ear while talking to the person on the phone.
Nice, I thought he was gonna kiss me.
"Yes, that would be all. Okay. Okay, thanks."
"Did you think I'd kiss you?", Tawan chuckled as he put down the phone.
"O-of course not.", I was grateful the kitchen was dimly lit as my whole face was painted red as I replied due to the embarrassment.
"Then why did you close your eyes?", He asked, unconvinced that of my alibi.
"A dust entered my eye, that's why."
"Then--"
"I'm gonna go get myself a glass of water. My throat's dry.", I said as I ran for the fridge, not looking at Tawan. I was so embarrassed of myself that I couldn't even look at him in the eye.
It didn't take long for the food to arrive, and just after a few minutes we were already taking out tons of food out of a couple of paperbags.
"This is a lot of food for two people.", I said as I rip open a paper bag of random McDonald's goodies. There were burgers, fries, sundae, pies, and a couple other foods I didn't know McDonald's had in their menu. The table was almost filled with an unreal amount of unhealthy food, and it was just the two of us at home.
"We can save them for tomorrow, breakfast.", Tawan replied as he snacked a piece of french fry.
"Junk food for breakfast? That doesn't sound right!"
"Cake for breakfast? That doesn't sound right!", He replied, mimicking my voice.
"You're annoying"
"You're annoying"
"Stop copying me!"
"Stop copying me!"
"Asshole."
"Asshole."
"I love you"
This time, he replied differently.
"I love you more."
