I woke up to the feeling of something brushing my head. As I opened my eyes and adjusted to the brightness of the room, I saw Tawan laying next to me brushing my hair with his fingers. The sight of him brought back memories from last night, especially the kiss.
"My hair's sticky, I haven't taken a shower yet.", I said as I removed Tawan's hand from my head.
"It's fine, it's not like what I'm doing is any worse than our kiss last night."
"hey!", I tucked myself in out of embarrassment.
Was I that bad last night?
Tawan grappled and used his force to stop me from covering my face.
"Hey, It's not your fault. It's your first time so I expected you'd perform in a not so good manner."
My face was still red from the embarrassment but I let go of it as like what Tawan said, it was my first time kissing someone. And it's not like I planned on kissing him last night, everything happened before I even knew it.
"I have to say though, you're way horrible than I thought you'd be.", Tawan said as he jumped off the bed and headed to the kitchen.
"Asshole!", I said as I threw him one of my pillows.
I got off of the bed and made my way to the bathroom. When I got out, Tawan was already preparing breakfast for the two of us.
"Is there a festival or something? why's there a ton of food on the table?"
My jaw dropped at the unbelievable amount of food lain on the table. There were toasts, eggs, thai ramen, and sausages plated on the table more than enough for two teenagers to eat.
"It's better to cook a lot than cook a little."
"Well you just cooked everything on my fridge! and there's only two of us!"
"You bicker so hard for someone who just woke up."
"You--"
My words were stopped when Tawan stuffed a sausage in front of my mouth. This boy...last night he was being all romantic and now he's getting on my nerves!
"Eat."
I looked at Tawan as he ate in front of me and again came the flashbacks from last night. Thinking about it, we already did most of the things usual couples do. We ate together, went to school together, travelled, hugged, and just last night, kissed. Not one word of affirmation came from either of us. No one talked about relationships or being official, but it's clear as day what our feelings towards each other were.
I smiled and savored the meal in front of me.
"Who invented the light bulb?"
"Thomas Edison."
"28th element in the periodic table?"
"Nickel."
"Scientific name of Polar Bear?"
"Ursus maritimus."
"Well, that's about everything you need to know.", I said as I arranged the flash cards of the science questionnaire I prepared as a reviewer.
"That was easy.", Tawan replied as he nonchalantly placed his feet on the study table.
"If only you were as good in math as you are in science, it would have been a lot easier."
"I'm a good kisser though"
I stopped arranging my things and immediately turned red the moment he replied. I turned around for Tawan to not see my face, but it was already too late. A pair of hands wrapped around my waist as he came to hug me from behind.
"Say, am I not a good kisser?", he whispered in my ear. I didn't know it it was appropriate at that time but I thought of something I shouldn't be thinking when he put muttered those words in a raspy whispering voice.
"let go of me", My voice was so weak and faint even I wasn't able to hear it.
Tawan pecked my neck and tightened his embrace as if my words meant the opposite to him.
"Answer or I won't stop.", He said as he continued pecking my neck.
"Okay, okay! You're a great kisser!", I replied as I almost ran out of breath from being ticklish. He pecked my neck so much I almost lost consciousness.
Finally, he let go of me. But then, he grabbed my hand and pulled me closer to him again. It's happened a couple of times already, but he still catches me off guard every single time.
"I asked you if I was a good kisser, but you answered I was great. You're smitten, are you?"
I tried so hard to free myself from his grip, but held me so tight. He then pulled me closer and locked me into an embrace as he held me from my waist, our faces only a few centimeters apart.
"Don't worry, I am too.", He said as he buried his lips onto mine.
