AMELIAS POV
I was sitting at dinner with everyone. I was thinking about Owen. Today was a lot of fun. We walked around the lake a few times and we kissed again. And we told each other we like each other, does that mean we're dating? I have no idea what any of this means.
"Amelia," my mom said.
"Hm. What?" I said.
"You zoned out," she chuckled.
"Thinking about Owen?" Liz joked.
"No," I said.
"Who's Owen?" Nancy said.
"Amelias boyfriend," Derek said.
"He's not my boyfriend," I said.
"Are you sure about that?" Liz chuckled.
"He's the nice boy next door," my mom said.
"Is he cute?" Nancy asked.
"Yes," I said.
"Amelia kissed him," Liz said.
"Can we not talk about him," I chuckled.
"You're so defensive it's annoying," Derek laughed.
NANCYS POV
Amelia definitely liked this boy. Whether they were dating or talking or whatever. We were back at home and I only had one day here until I had to fly back to UCLA to make it back for my Monday afternoon class. My siblings were in their rooms and my mom was doing laundry.
"Hey mom," I said.
"Hey," she said.
"So is this boy her boyfriend?" I chuckled.
"I don't know, I don't think she knows," she said.
"She seems happy," I said, "last time I saw her she was all angry."
"Yeah," my mom smiled, "she's been better the last few weeks."
"That's good," I said.
AMELIAS POV
I was talking to Owen from the window again. We did practically every night and I loved it.
"So how was your day?" I asked.
"It was good," he said, "how was yours?"
"Good," I said.
"How's Nancy?" He asked.
"She's good," I shrugged. I heard my door open and I turned and it was Nancy.
"Hey," I said.
"Hey," she chuckled, "what are you doing?"
"Uh, talking to Owen," I said.
"The cute boy?" She said quietly.
"Do you want to say hi?" I chuckled.
"Yes!" She said.
"Okay," I chuckled and moved over and she sat down next to me.
"Uh Owen this is my sister Nancy," I said, "Nancy this is Owen."
"Hi it's nice to meet you," Owen smiled.
"You too!" Nancy said.
OWENS POV
**the next day**
Amelias sister was still over so we couldn't really hang today. I missed her. What were we? I mean we've kissed a few times but I don't know. I wanna ask her out, but I don't know how. I walked downstairs and my mom was watching the news.
"Hey," I said.
"Hi," she said, "no Amelia today?"
"Her sister is visiting from town," I said.
"Aw that's nice," my mom said.
"Yeah," I said.
"But you miss her," she chuckled.
"Well yeah," I said, "I kinda wanted to ask her out today."
"Finally," my mom chuckled, "I think she will still say yes if you ask her tomorrow."
"Yeah I know," I said.
"I like her," my mom said.
"Wow me too," I joked.
"No really, I think she's a super sweet girl," my mom said, "and you danced around the fact that you've liked her for the past month and not you can't wait a day." We both chuckled.
"You're right," I said.
"Where are you going to take her?" She asked.
"Uh I don't know," I said and sat down.
"Whatever you do she will love," my mom smiled.
AMELIAS POV
We were all watching TV downstairs and I was bored. I wanted Owen. I loved his company.
"You guys should totally come visit UCLA next weekend," Nancy said, "I have a three day weekend we can go to the beach and everything."
"That's not a bad idea," my mom said.
"I miss the beach!" Liz said.
"You miss the guys," Derek joked.
"Oh shut up," Liz chuckled, "you miss Addison."
"I do not," Derek said.
"Amelia?" My mom said.
"Yeah?" I said.
"Well what do you think?" My mom said.
"Yeah sure I guess," I shrugged, if we're being honest I didn't want to go back to LA. I really didn't. I had no desire, the only person in LA was James. I didn't want to see him, I didn't wanna go visit Nancy's stupid college so she can rub in how perfect her stupid college life was. I was fine here.
"Can we please?" Liz asked.
"Yeah why not," My mom said.
-
I was laying in my bed watching TV, it was almost 10pm, my mom was probably asleep and everyone else was in their rooms. I felt my phone buzz and it was Owen.
"Hey," it read.
"Hey," I sent.
"Window?" He sent. I got up and opened my window.
"Hey," I said.
"Hey," he said.
"Whatcha up to?" I asked.
"Nothing," he said.
"Me too," I chuckled.
"Can I ask you something?" He asked.
"Sure," I said.
"Do you want to go on a date tomorrow?" He asked cutely.
"Yes," I smiled.
"I was nervous to ask you that," he chuckled.
"I don't know why," I chuckled.
"I just really like you," he said.
"I really like you too," I said, "Wanna come over?"
"Your mom won't get mad?" He chuckled.
"My mom is asleep," I said.
"So you're sneaking me in," he chuckled.
"Do you want to come over or not," I chuckled.
"Yes," he said.
"Meet me at the back door," I said and got up. I walked downstairs and he met me at the door.
"You have to be super quiet okay?" I chuckled. He nodded and we walked upstairs.
"Amelia?" Liz said.
"Yeah?" I said as I rushed Owen into my room.
"Oh I was just wondering who was up," she chuckled from her room.
"Oh yeah I was just thirsty," I said, "grabbed some water."
"Okay," Liz said. I closed my door behind me and Owen chuckled. I chuckled and smiled.
"Hi," I said.
"Hi," he said. I walked closer to him and kissed him softly. He held my face and we started making out. God he was such a good kisser. I pulled back and smiled.
"You're a good kisser," I chuckled.
"So are you," he said.
"If we get caught I'm so dead," I chuckled and laid down in my bed and he laid down next to me.
"So am I," he chuckled. I turned my TV on and he kissed my cheek. I turned and kissed him passionately and we started making out again. God he was an amazing kisser. There was a knock on my door and I stopped.
"Yeah?" I said.
"Can I come in?" Nancy asked.
"Get in my closet," I said to Owen and he got up.
"Yeah just give me a minute!" I said and opened the door.
"Don't say anything," I chuckled as Owen closed my closet.
"You can come in," I said and Nancy opened the door.
"What are you doing in here?" She said.
"Watching TV," I said.
"I thought I heard you talking to someone," she chuckled.
"I was talking to Owen from the window," I said.
"Anyway that's not why I came in here, are you okay? You seemed mad when I mentioned LA," she said. God I did not want to talk about this with Owen hiding in my closet.
"Oh uh, it's fine, it'll be fun," I said.
"Do you like it here?" She asked.
"Did mom put you up to this?" I chuckled.
"Well you don't talk to her," she chuckled, "someone has to get something out of you."
"Yes I like it here," I chuckled.
"Keep Owen around," she said.
"I'm not stupid," I chuckled.
"Yes but you push everyone away who cares about you," she said.
"I won't," I chuckled, "I promise."
"Okay," she chuckled, "Good night."
"Good night," I said and she closed the door. I walked over to my closet and opened the door.
"Hi," I chuckled.
"Hi," he chuckled and kissed my forehead.
"How am I going to get you out of the house," I chuckled.
"We will worry about that later," he chuckled and kissed me softly.
"Okay," I smiled and we cuddled in my bed.
-
I opened my eyes and felt something around my waist. Owen. He was still here. SHIT.
"Owen," I said softly and looked at the clock, it was 10am.
"What?" He mumbled.
"We fell asleep," I chuckled.
"Oh shit," he chuckled.
"Yeah," I chuckled and sat up. He chuckled and kissed my cheek.
"Should I go out the window or?" He chuckled.
"Be my guest," I chuckled. He looked at his phone and yawned.
"My mom didn't text me asking where I was so I think we're good," he chuckled.
"That's good," I chuckled.
"Can I pick you up for our date at 12? Lunch time?" He asked.
"Sure," I smiled.
"Okay I'll see you later," he said and kissed me.
"Please don't get hurt jumping from my window," I said.
"I jumped out my window last night," he chuckled and sat in the ledge. I watched him safely leave and then climb back into his room.
"I'll see you later," He said.
"I'll see you later," I smiled. I closed my window and looked at my bed and couldn't help but smile. Hopefully nobody saw him.
