OWENS POV
Today was the day we both went off to college. Amelia has been to the campus a few times for freshmen orientation and for dorm room stuff with her roommate, but today we were both flying in together. I was so excited. I walked downstairs with my bag and my mom smiled.
"Have the best time, work hard, get good grades, and hopefully I can see you before thanksgiving?" My mom said as she hugged me.
"I'm sure we can work out a weekend or two mom," I said.
"Good," my mom said, "I love you."
"I love you too," I said.
"Owen!" Megan said as she walked in, "Are you leaving yet it's so much quieter in the house and nobody eats all the food." We both laughed and I hugged her.
"Love you too," I chuckled.
"No but seriously, I'll miss you," she chuckled.
"I'll miss you too Meg," I said.
AMELIAS POV
Today was the day. I was going off to college. Felt crazy. I've been over to Harvard a few times for freshmen events and I met my roommate and moved a few things in. My roommate was the best, she's super nice - she reminds me of April a little bit, just less peppy. Liz and Derek were already off at college so once I left it would only be my mom and I felt bad. She would have the whole house to herself. I finished packing the last few things in my backpack and my door opened.
"Hey," I said.
"Today's the day!" My mom smiled, "Harvard!"
"I know," I smiled, "exciting."
"I'm so proud of you," she said and hugged me, "I love you so much, you're going to do so well, I believe in you."
"Aw thanks mom," I smiled.
"My last baby going to college," she said, "wow."
"Yeah you're old," I joked.
"Amelia!" She chuckled.
"I'm kidding," I said, "love you."
"I love you too," she said and hugged me again, "promise me you'll be safe, and call me, and visit sometimes."
"Of course I'll visit," I said.
"And have fun," she said.
"I will," I said.
"Is it time to go?" My mom said. I looked at the clock and nodded.
"It's go time," I smiled.
-
We were both on the plane. It was happening. I looked at Owen and smiled.
"We did it," I smiled.
"We did," he said and kissed me. I put my head on his shoulder and he put his hand over mine.
"You excited?" Owen asked.
"Yeah," I said.
"You'll love it there," Owen said.
"I can't wait," I smiled.
"You like you're roommate?" Owen asked.
"Yeah she's awesome," I said, "You know, she reminds me of April a little bit."
"Didn't April annoy the hell out of you?" Owen chuckled.
"She's less peppy," I said, "April was just so peppy."
"I know," Owen chuckled. The plane started going up and I squeezed his hand.
"Hey it's alright," he said and kissed my head, "you're okay."
"I love you," I said.
"I love you too," he said.
OWENS POV
The plane landed and we were finally here. I missed Boston so much. I honestly forgot how much I missed it. Amelia and I got off the plane and we walked to the bus stop.
"It's cold here," Amelia chuckled.
"Yeah," I said, "it's a lot colder here than in Seattle."
"I can tell," Amelia chuckled. The bus came and brought us to the campus.
"Wanna see my dorm room?" Amelia said.
"Yeah," I said and grabbed her hand as we walked across the campus together. We were finally here. We got in the elevator to her building and up to her floor. She opened the door and it was cutely decorated.
"I like it," I said.
"Me too," she said, "I'm excited."
"Me too," I smiled.
"I'm so proud of us," she smiled.
"I am so incredibly proud of you," I smiled and kissed her, "I'm glad we're both here now."
"And we're both here without mothers," she chuckled and kissed me back.
"That we are," I chuckled as we started making out. She pulled me onto her bed and we heard the door unlock. We both shot up and Amelia's roommate walked in.
"Oh hey," she said.
"Hi," Amelia said.
"You must be Owen," she said, "I'm Jo, Jo Wilson."
"Nice to meet you," I smiled.
AMELIAS POV
Owen and I were eating dinner at one of the campus restaurants. Classes started tomorrow. I'm a little nervous I'm not going to lie, but I'm really glad I get to be here with an awesome roommate and my boyfriend. It's going to be so much fun, and I can't wait for the next chapter in my life.
"Hey Amelia," Owen said.
"Yeah?" I said.
"Thanks for being mine," he said cutely, "you're my everything, I love you so much, you're the best girlfriend ever, and I hope that one day I can make you my wife, and I'm glad we're going through college together." I could help but smile.
"You're the best," I smiled, "I love you, and I hope one day, you will be my husband."
AUTHORS POV
And with that Owen and Amelia went back to their Owen dorm rooms, figuring that maybe they should spend at least one night with their roommate because spending every second with each other, for the rest of their college careers, loving each other every minute of everyday❤️~ the end ~
