A month later
OWENS POV
Amelia finds out if she got in today. I'm surprising her and coming home. It's a Thursday, and I somehow got admissions to approve me missing classes on Friday since I had no seminars. She would find out around 2, after school. My flight was at 7, so when I would get there, it would be 4 in East Coast time, but 1 her time. I would hopefully get home before she got home from school and I could surprise her. Carolyn was in on it too, it was going to be so good, and I get to see my mom and Megan. God I missed them so much. My mom texted and called all the time, always wondering what I was doing, if I was being safe, and how college was. It was so early. I was walking through airport security and couldn't believe I get to see my girl today, and she has no idea.
AMELIAS POV
It comes today. I see if I got in today. I'm so excited. I was sitting at lunch with Charlotte. We were really good friends now, we hangout a lot, she's spent a few nights at my house and I've spend a few nights at hers. She's really good to talk to.
"It comes today!" She smiled, "are you excited?"
"So excited," I smiled.
"Owens going to be excited too," she said.
"I just hope I got in," I said.
"Amelia I'm sure you did," she said, "you're super smart."
"I just want to be with Owen again," I said, "I haven't seen him since August."
"When does he come home, November?" Charlotte asked.
"Yeah around Thanksgiving," I said.
OWENS POV
I was here. I was home. I knocked on my front door just to get my mom to answer. She opened it and smiled.
"Oh my gosh you're finally home!" She said as she wrapped her arms around me.
"I am indeed," I chuckled.
"How's college? How's Teddy and George? How's the food? How's your roommate?" She asked.
"Mom it's not like I never talk to you," I laughed.
"I know, but I love you so much and I want to know it all!" She said and hugged me again. I heard the mail truck and I saw Carolyn walk down her driveway. I walked outside.
"Hey," I said.
"Hey," she said, "I was just going to call you! How was your flight?"
"It was good," I said, "long, but good."
"That's good, she's going to be so surprised when she sees you," Carolyn smiled.
"Did it come?" I asked when she opened the mailbox. She smiled at me.
"It came," she said.
"She's going to be over the moon," I said.
"She so is," she smiled. The three of us walked inside and Carolyn and my mom decided that when Amelia got home I'd walk into the living room with the envelope to surprise her.
"She'll be home any minute," Carolyn said, I looked at the clock and it was 1:50. I heard the front door open and I smiled.
"Mom did it come?" Amelia said. I grabbed the envelope and walked out into the living room.
"Wow I come home for a weekend and all you care about is this stupid envelope?" I joked. She froze and her mouth dropped as she dropped her backpack.
"OH MY GOD!" She screamed as she ran towards me and wrapped her arms around me. I did the same and hugged her tightly.
"What, what are you doing here?" She said.
"Wasn't gonna let you open this alone," I said.
"It came," she smiled.
"It sure did," I said and kissed her. It felt so good to finally be able to kiss her.
"Oh my god I love you," she said.
"I love you too," I said, "and I think you need to open this." I handed her the envelope and we turned and our moms were tearing up.
"Did you plan this?" Amelia said as she looked at her mom.
"The three of us worked something out," Carolyn chuckled. Amelia smiled at me and we walked into the kitchen and she looked at the envelope. It was just as thick as mine and I knew she got in. I'm pretty sure she knew too.
"Wait can we wait for Charlotte?" Amelia chuckled, "I kinda told her I'd open it with her."
"Sure," Carolyn said.
"She'll be here any minute," Amelia said as she wrapped her arms around my waist. The doorbell rang and Amelia grabbed my arm. She opened the door to Charlotte.
"Did it come?" Charlotte said as she hugged amelia. She looked at me and then Amelia.
"Is this Owen?" She smiled.
"Yes, Owen, Charlotte, Charlotte, Owen," Amelia smiled.
"Oh my gosh it's so good to meet you!" Charlotte smiled.
"You too," I said.
"Amelia get in here and open the damn envelope!" Carolyn chuckled.
"Okay I'm coming!" Amelia said and the three of us ran into the kitchen. This was the moment.
AMELIAS POV
I was practically shaking. I knew I got in. The envelope was thick just like Owen's. He knew it too, but I needed to see the words. I opened the envelope and smiled at the acceptance letter.
"Harvard Admissions would like to congratulate you on your acceptance into Harvard's freshmen class of 2025!" I smiled.
"Congratulations!" My mom smiled and hugged me.
"Congrats honey," Evelyn smiled.
"You did it!" Charlotte smiled and wrapped her arms around me.
"Oh my gosh I did," I smiled.
"Proud of you girl," she said. I grinned at Owen and he picked me up and spun us around.
"I'm so proud of you!" He said and then kissed me.
"I did it," I smiled.
"You sure did," he smiled.
