OWENS POV
I opened my eyes and Amelia wasn't next to me. I sat up and looked at the clock and it was almost noon. I grabbed my phone and walked downstairs where Megan and Amelia we're baking.
"Good morning sleepy," Amelia smiled and pecked my lips.
"Morning," I mumbled.
"Mom went food shopping she said she'll be back soon," Megan said.
"Okay," I said, "what are you making?"
"Brownies," Amelia said.
"Wow megan you got my girlfriend cooking?" I joked, "Last time I checked she couldn't boil a pot of water."
"Oh shut up!" Amelia chuckled. I walked over to her and wrapped my arms around her waist from behind. She put her hands over mine and I kissed her cheek.
"When is your family coming back?" I asked.
"My mom said their flight lands at 2," she said.
"Don't go," I pouted.
"I know," she frowned and kissed me again.
CAROLYNS POV
We just landed in Seattle and it was time to see Amelia. I'm sad she didn't come with us to LA but she would have just been miserable and it was for the best. I parked the car in the garage and Liz and Derek went upstairs and I went over to go get Amelia, or see her if she wanted to stay for the rest of the afternoon. I rang the doorbell and Evelyn opened the door with a smile.
"Carolyn," she smiled and hugged me.
"Hey how have you been?" I said.
"I've been good, you? How was LA?" She asked as I walked in.
"It was really good," I said, "was Amelia okay here all weekend?"
"Yes oh my gosh, she is the sweetest thing, she's welcome anytime she wants," she smiled.
"I'm glad she was okay," I said, "she's so fragile sometimes."
"I can tell, but I love her, she's welcome anytime Carolyn she wasn't a bother at all," she smiled.
"Hi mom," Amelia smiled as she came down the stairs with Owen.
"Hi," I said and hugged her. We walked back over to our house and Amelia was quiet.
"Good weekend?" I asked.
"Yeah," she smiled, "yeah it was good."
"That's good," I said.
"How was LA?" She asked.
"It was fine," I said.
"Yeah?" She said.
"Yeah," I said.
"I think I love Owen mom," she said, "that scares the hell out of me."
"I know," I said and put my arm around her.
"I don't know how to tell him," she said quietly.
"Sometimes all you have to do is say it," I smiled.
"What if he doesn't love me?" She asked sadly.
"Amelia of course he loves you," I said.
AMELIAS POV
I was upstairs in my room when there was a knock on my door.
"Come in," I said. I looked over and Derek opened the door.
"Hey," he said.
"Hey," I said.
"You have a good weekend?" He asked.
"Does mom want details?" I chuckled.
"No, I want details," he said and sat down on my bed.
"Fine," I chuckled.
"Well, was it good?" He chuckled.
"It was good," I said.
"Did you sleep in the same bed?" He chuckled.
"Yes," I smiled.
"Gross, boys have cooties," Derek joked.
"Oh shut up!" I said and pushed him.
"You know, mom mentioned the L word," Derek said.
"She can't keep her mouth shut!" I said.
"Do you? You know, love him," he asked.
"Uh, yeah, I think so, I mean, I don't know, I think I do," I said.
"You're in love," He chuckled.
"I am," I chuckled.
"You're blushing!" Derek said.
"Stop it!" I said.
"Oh he has made you a complete softie with emotions!" Derek said.
"Stop!" I said and hit him with my pillow.
"I like you in love, you're happy," he said.
"It's gross," I said.
"Shut up and let yourself be happy for once," Derek said, "just this once." I felt my phone buzz and it was Owen.
"Window idiot," it read.
"One second," I said to Derek and opened my window.
"What?" He said.
"Owen," I smiled and climbed out to the ledge. I looked over and Owen did the same thing.
"You left your shirt at my house," he chuckled.
"Toss it," I chuckled.
"You sure?" He said.
"You think I can't catch?" I laughed. He tossed it over and I put it on my desk.
"Hi Owen," Derek said.
"Hi Derek," Owen said.
"Hey I gotta go I'll talk to you later okay?" I smiled.
"Okay," Owen said. I closed my window and sat back on my bed.
"You left your shirt," he chuckled.
"You're so annoying you know that?" I said.
"Did you two have sex?" He asked.
"NO," I said, "I showered within 2 and a half days stupid."
"I'm just messing around with you," Derek chuckled.
"How was Addison?" I asked. He sighed and then chuckled.
"Addison Addison Addison," he chuckled, "she's good, prettier than ever though."
"Did you love her?" I asked.
"I still do," Derek said.
"How did you know?" I asked.
"You just know Amy," he chuckled, "If you love Owen just tell him."
"I'm scared," I said, "What if he runs, what if I run?"
"You're not running," Derek chuckled, "and I think he loves you too."
"Okay," I nodded.
-
My alarm clock went off and I rolled over.
"Ugh," I mumbled and got up. I was still wearing Owen's sweatshirt. It smelt like him, I loved it. I changed and brushed my hair and teeth and walked downstairs. I grabbed a bagel and sat at the counter and scrolled through Instagram.
"Lake date tonight?" Owen texted me.
"Yes," I sent.
"Hey mom?" I said.
"Yes honey?" My mom said.
"Can I go out with Owen after school?" I asked.
"Yeah sure," my mom said.
"Don't you always," Liz joked.
"Yeah," I shrugged.
"So you and Owen are like official official now?" My mom said.
"Yeah," I said.
"That's cute," my mom said.
"Yeah," I said.
"Amelia finally!" Liz smiled at me.
