AMELIAS POV
Today I had to go back to the hospital to see Doctor Webber. I've been out of the hospital for almost 3 weeks. I'm scared to go back, I don't want to, but my mom said I could skip school for it. I got up out of bed and Derek and Liz already left for school. I took out my phone and texted Owen.
"Hey I have a doctors appointment today, I'm not going to school," I sent.
"Okay, everything okay?" He sent.
"Yeah, just a stupid check up," I sent.
"Okay, love you, I'll see you later?" He said.
"Yup, love you too," I sent. I smiled and put my phone in my pocket.
"You're all smiley," My mom observed.
"Oh I was just texting Owen," I said.
"So are you two finally back together?" She asked.
"Yes," I said, "we are."
"Aw yay," my mom smiled and hugged me, "ready for the Doctor?"
"Do I have to see Doctor Turner?" I asked.
"Why?" My mom asked.
"Because I was a bitch to her in therapy, and I feel bad," I said.
"I'm sure you can ask to see her," my mom said.
"I want to apologize," I said.
"Well that's good," My mom said and hugged me.
"What if I don't weigh enough?" I asked.
"What's enough?" My mom said.
"I don't know," I shrugged.
"You have been eating three meals a day I'm sure you're okay," my mom said.
"Okay," I nodded.
-
We pulled into the parking lot and we both got out.
"You okay?" My mom asked.
"Yeah," I nodded. We walked inside and Doctor Webber met us in the lobby.
"Hey how are you?" He asked.
"I'm good, how are you?" I asked.
"Good," he said. My mom waited outside and I sat down in the chair.
"Have you been eating regularly?" He asked.
"Yes," I said.
"You promise?" He asked.
"Yes I promise," I said.
"Okay," he said.
"Is Doctor Turner in today?" I asked.
"She is, do you want to make an appointment with her?" He asked.
"No, I just need to tell her something real quick," I said.
"Alright when we're done I'll page her okay?" He said.
"Okay," I said.
"How's Owen?" He asked.
"He's good," I said.
"Are you two back together?" He asked.
"You're so nosey!" I chuckled, "but yes."
"That's good," he said.
"Mhm," I said.
"Alright I just have to weigh you," he said.
"Okay," I said and got on the scale.
"Do you remember what you were when you left here?" He asked.
"107," I said.
"Mhm," he said, "what does it say now?"
"112," I said.
"Yup," he said, "I'm proud of you."
"Thanks," I chuckled.
"It's important that you stay healthy," he said.
"I know," I said.
"You've come a long way," he said, "I'll go get Doctor Turner."
"Thank you," I said. I sat there and looked around the room and the door opened.
"Hi Amelia," Doctor Turner said.
"Hi," I said.
"What's up?" She said and sat down, "do you want to talk in my office?"
"No, uh, I just wanted to apologize, I was pretty awful to you in therapy," I said quietly.
"It's okay," she said.
"No it's not," I said, "I was just angry and I shouldn't have taken it out on you."
"Well it's good you can identify that," she smiled, "it's okay I promise, trust me I've had a lot meaner patients than you."
"Okay," I nodded.
"I'm happy to see you, you look good and healthy," she smiled, "keep it up okay?"
"I will," I smiled.
"I'll see you soon?" She said.
"Yeah probably," I said.
"Okay," she said and hugged me. I walked out to my mom who was waiting in the waiting room and she got up.
"You all good?" She asked.
"Yeah," I said.
"That's good," she said.
"They say I'm very healthy," I said.
"That's good," she said, "you are, you're doing very well."
"Thanks," I said.
"Did you gain weight?" She asked.
"I'm 112," I said.
"That's good," she said.
"Yeah, Doctor Webber said so too," I said.
"I'm proud of you," she said and I could see tears in her eyes.
"Stop it don't cry," I chuckled and hugged her.
"Okay I'm sorry," she chuckled as she wiped her tears.
"I love you," I said.
"I love you too," she said and hugged me again.
-
I got home and I was eating lunch in my room. I turned my TV on started watching TV. I looked at the clock and it was almost 2 which meant Owen was probably home. I grabbed my phone and texted him.
"Window?" I said.
"Sure," he sent. I got up and brought my lunch to the window and sat down on the ledge. He opened his window and he smiled.
"Hi," I said.
"Hi," he said.
"How was school?" I said.
"It was good," he said, "how was the doctors."
"Good," I said, "I'm healthy."
"That's awesome," he said.
"Do you want to come over?" I asked.
"I have to do some homework," he said, "can I come over in an hour."
"Yeah," I smiled.
"Okay I'll see you then," he said.
"Okay," I said. I climbed back into my room and sat down at my desk and did my spanish and accounting homework. I logged onto my computer and did my math homework and then I was done. My door opened and I turned and it was Liz.
"Hi," she said.
"Hi," I said, "what's up?"
"Mom wanted me to ask you if you were hanging out with Owen today," she said.
"Why?" I chuckled.
"Dude I don't know she asked me to ask," Liz chuckled, "you two still a thing?"
"Yes," I smiled.
"Finally," she chuckled, "it was painful seeing you two talk in the hospital everyday act like you didn't like each other."
"Shut up," I chuckled.
"It's the truth!" She chuckled, "oh my god I just wanted to scream at you too to get back together!"
