RYANS POV
I really like Amelia. I fucked up by giving her the pills. I should have just kept that to myself and not even exposed her to it and I feel bad. I asked her out and she said no, but I'm sitting at lunch and her and her redhead aren't even talking. "Getting back together" my ass. I texted her and I saw her look down at her phone and then up at me.
"Go out with me, just once," I sent. She looked up at me and mouthed "no".
"Please?" I sent. One of her friends said something and then she got up. She came over and sat down next to me.
"Just one date?" She said.
"I mean just one until you realize I'm awesome and you'll want to go out again," I said.
"You are so full of yourself," she chuckled.
"Just one," I said.
"Fine," She said, "just one but it's not a date."
"It is, and I'm picking you up at 7," I said.
"We are not a thing okay?" She said.
"Whatever you say Amelia," I said. She got up and I can't believe I actually got her to go out with me.
OWENS POV
I watched Amelia talk to Ryan at lunch. It infuriated me so much. Just as I thought we were getting back together.
"You know she hates him," Callie said, "she thinks he's annoying."
"Didn't seem like it when they were kissing this morning," I said.
"Why don't you just ask her about it?" Jackson said.
"Yeah I'm sure she has an explanation for it," April said.
"Yeah whatever," I mumbled and she came back. She sat down next to me and I just wanted us to be okay.
-
It was the end of the day and Amelia was at her locker.
"Hey can we talk?" I asked as I walked over.
"Sure," she smiled, "what's up?"
"I thought we were getting back together," I said.
"We're not?" She said sadly, and then I realized maybe April and Callie were right.
"Well, you seem close to Ryan," I said.
"Oh my god," she sighed, "no Owen were just friends I promise, he kissed me. That's it, okay? We're hanging out tonight just so that he'll leave me alone, we're just friends I promise."
"You're going out with him?" I said.
"If you don't want me to I'll cancel," she said.
"No it's fine," I said.
"Owen I promise I'm so in love with you that it drives me crazy sometimes," she chuckled and kissed my cheek.
"I'm so in love with you too," I said.
"I can really cancel if it bothers you," she said, "I want things between us to be okay."
"It's okay I promise," I said.
"You're being completely honest?" She said.
"Yes," I said.
"I love you Owen," she said.
"I love you too Amelia," I said.
"And I'm going to cancel," she said.
"You sure?" I said.
"Owen I don't like him anyway," she chuckled.
"Okay," I said and put my arm around her.
"And you give me a good excuse to cancel," she chuckled.
"So were good?" I smiled.
"Yes of course," she said.
"So I can do this?" I said and pecked her lips.
"You can do that," I smiled. We walked out of the school together and Derek smiled.
"How was school?" He asked.
"Weird," I chuckled thinking of Ryan and Owen.
"I asked Meredith out," he said.
"Oh my gosh you did?" I smiled.
"I did," he said.
"That's exciting," I said.
"Yeah," he said. I pulled out my phone and texted Ryan.
"I can't hang tonight, something came up," I sent.
"Owen?" He sent.
"I'm sorry," I sent.
"No worries, have fun, I'll see you tomorrow at school," he sent.
"See you tomorrow," I sent. Derek pulled in the driveway and Owen got out of the car.
"Owen?" I said shyly.
"Yeah?" He said.
"Do you want to come in?" I said.
"Yeah," he said. I smiled and grabbed his hand and we walked inside. Derek and Liz went upstairs and my mom was in the kitchen.
"Hey mom?" I said.
"Yeah?" She smiled when she saw Owen.
"Is it okay if Owen and I hangout?" I asked.
"Of course it is," She said, "hi Owen."
"Hi," Owen said.
"Are you hungry?" My mom asked.
"Sure," I said and Owen sat down next to me. I put my head on his shoulder and I felt him kiss my head.
-
Owen and I were up in my room watching TV. I had my head on his chest and it felt good to be with him.
"Owen?" I said.
"Yeah?" He said.
"Are we, like, uh, are we back together?" I asked slowly.
"Do you want to be back together?" He chuckled.
"Do you?" I asked.
"I asked first," he said and kissed my forehead.
"Yes," I said.
"Well I do too," He said, "so, will you be my girlfriend?"
"Yes," I smiled, "I'm sorry for breaking up with you, for hurting you."
"You don't have to apologize, the important part is that you are okay, you're safe, and you are so loved. Okay?" He said sweetly.
"Okay," I smiled.
"I love you so much," he said.
"I love you more," I said, "thank you for everything, for being here for me, for visiting me everyday in the hospital."
"I couldn't leave you," he said.
"Thank you," I said, "you saved my life."
"I did?" He said.
"Well I mean, the doctors did but, you keep me going everyday, I love you so much," I said.
"I love you too," he said and leaned down and kissed me. I smiled and kissed him back as he pulled me into him.
"So how was your day?" He asked.
"Interesting," I chuckled.
"Ryan?" He chuckled.
"He wouldn't believe me that we were getting back together," I chuckled as I ran my fingers through his hair.
"Well look how wrong he was," Owen chuckled.
