2 weeks later
OWENS POV
I'm worried about Amelia. Out of the past two weeks she's come to school maybe three times, if we're being honest I think she came both Wednesday's and maybe last Tuesday. She's been totally M.I.A. She doesn't answer any of my calls or texts. She only talks to me at school and we haven't hung out. I'm worried about her. I was at my locker when I heard my name.
"Hi Owen," Amelia smiled.
"Hey," I smiled and kissed her.
"What's up?" She said.
"What's up with you?" I said, "haven't seen you in a few days."
"Oh yeah I'm fine," she said.
"Okay," I said, "can you hangout after school today?"
"Yeah," she smiled, "your place okay?"
"Yeah of course," I said.
"Perfect, I'll see you later?" She said as she kissed my cheek. She was happy today. It was weird but it was so refreshing. She walked down the hallway and Jackson approached my locker.
"She looks like she hasn't eaten in 2 weeks," Jackson said.
"I know," I said and watched her turn the corner, "she's coming over after school today, I'll try to talk to her okay?"
"Is this her third appearance for the past two weeks?" He sighed.
"4th," I said.
"I'm worried," he said.
"Me too," I said.
AMELIAS POV
I walked into accounting and sat down next to Ryan.
"Hey you decided to show up," he said.
"Shut up," I said.
"What's wrong?" He said.
"Nothings wrong, I'm just dealing with something," I said.
"I'm sorry," he said.
"It's not your fault," I said.
"Okay," he said.
"My brother doesn't want us to be friends," I said quietly.
"I can tell," he said.
"I mean I don't have to listen to him," I said.
"You don't," he said.
"But I do have a boyfriend so your whole staring thing can stop," I chuckled.
"What? I can't stare at you because you're pretty?" He said.
"No," I laughed.
"Okay," he chuckled.
"So friends?" I said.
"Friends," he said,  "and you know there are other ways to deal with stuff." I stopped writing and looked at him.
"Like what?" I said.
"Well let's just say I have a few pills that could make you happy," he said.
"How much?" I said.
"I'd give them to you for free," he said.
"I'm okay, thanks though," I said. The bell rang and I got up and met Owen at his locker.
"Hey how was your day?" He asked.
"It was okay," I said, "you?"
"Mine was good," he said. We walked out and his mom drove us home since Derek wasn't exactly speaking to me. That's another thing, we've probably exchanged words 3 times in the past couple of weeks. We got to Owen's house and we went up into his room.
"Are you hungry?" He asked.
"No," I said.
"Are you sure?" He asked.
"Yeah why," I said.
"Because you look hungry," he said.
"And what is that supposed to mean?" I said.
"Amelia, you don't eat lunch at school, what's going on? Are you not eating?" He said.
"Owen I'm fine," I said.
"No you're not!" He said.
"What are you talking about?" I said.
"Amelia! You haven't eaten in days, it's obvious, you're hurting, you don't have to
hurt alone!" He said.
"I don't want to fight with you," I said crying.
"Okay, I'm sorry, don't cry," he said, "I'm just, I'm worried sick about you, you skip school all the time and I'm worried."
"It's not fair," I said.
"What's not fair?" He asked.
"Us," I said crying, "you don't need to go through this too."
"What? Amelia, what are you saying?" He said.
"I can't do this," I cried, "I'm sorry Owen, I can't. You don't need to go through this too, I can't put you through this."
"Amelia?" He said, "Amelia calm down."
"I'm sorry but I can't do this," I said, "I'm sorry were done."
"Amelia, no, please, what's going on? I can help you!" He said crying.
"I don't want to hurt you, I love you too much," I said and kissed his cheek.
"I love you too," he said, "don't do this, don't go."
"I'm sorry," I said crying. I bolted down his stairs and back over to my house. The tears were streaming down my face to fast I could barely see where I was running. I opened the door and my mom was in the couch.
"What's wrong?" She said.
"Nothing," I said and wiped my eyes.
"Nothing? I thought you were at Owen's? What's wrong?" She asked.
"Nothing is wrong leave me alone," I said and ran upstairs. I looked at my room and I was so angry. I couldn't do this anymore. I couldn't hurt Owen, he was so perfect. God he was. He was so cute, adorable even. He didn't deserve me. I mess everything up, I can't protect myself, he knows that, I know that. I took out my phone and called the first number that came to my mind. I paced back and forth until I heard an answer.
"Hello?" Ryan said.
"Hey," I said.
"What's up?" Ryan said.
"Can I have the pills?" I said.
