OWENS POV
I felt bad for Amelia. She was upset over an argument with her mom but she was trying really hard not to show it. I feel like she feels like she can't be sad anymore after what happened, or we'd all think that she's crazy. I feel like she thinks she can't have feelings anymore, and I never want her to feel like that. My mom was making lunch and Amelia was hanging out with Megan while I helped my mom.
"Is she okay?" My mom asked.
"I think so, I'm gonna talk to her," I said.
"Okay," my mom said, "let her know she can stay as long as she wants or needs."
"Thanks," I said.
"Is carolyn worried about her? Should I call her?" My mom asked.
"I think that's the problem, I think she's always worried about her and it makes Amelia upset, but I'd call her and just let her know she's okay," I said.
"Okay, will do," she said and kissed my head, "you guys can eat upstairs if you want."
"Thanks," I said. I grabbed two plates and walked into the living room. Megan got up and I handed Amelia a plate.
"Thanks," she said.
"You're welcome, my mom said we can eat upstairs," I said.
"Okay," she said and we walked upstairs. She sat down at my desk and I sat down at the edge of my bed.
"Can we talk?" I asked.
"Yeah sure," she said.
"Okay well, you know I don't think your crazy right," I said.
"Yeah I know," she said.
"So, I just want you to know that you don't have to act like you're not hurting because you're fearful that I think your crazy," he said, "you've been through a lot, and therapy or not, medication or not, you're allowed to have feelings, and you're allowed to be upset without thinking everyone around you is crazy."
"How do you do that?" She chuckled.
"Do what?" I said.
"Know exactly how I'm feeling without me saying anything," she said quietly.
"Because I know you very well, and I care about you, and I know when you're hurting," I said. She looked at me and gave me a soft smiled and got up. She sat down next to me and kissed my cheek.
"I think my mom is right," she said.
"About the anti depressants?" I said. She nodded and I could see her eyes filling with tears.
"She was right," she said, "I've had such a killer headache all day and I think I need them to be happy, I thought I was fine but I'm not."
"I could go get them for you," I offered.
"I don't want her to know she was right," she said.
"She won't I promise," I said.
"They're in my kitchen how are you gonna get them?" She asked.
"Don't worry about it I'll get it," I said softly and pushed a piece of hair behind her ear.
"Okay," she said quietly.
"Amelia you have nothing to worry about, you're okay," I said and brought her into my arms. She nodded and I grabbed a pair of shoes as I ran downstairs. I walked over and her mom must have saw me because she opened the door.
"Is she okay?" She asked.
"She's fine," I said, "She just, Uh, forgot something."
"These?" She said and handed me a bottle of pills.
"Yeah," I said.
"I'm not mad at her," she said.
"I know," I said.
"She just, she thinks she can handle everything on her own when she doesn't have to, you know?" She said.
"No I understand," I said.
"She makes it harder for herself," she sighed, "just make sure she's okay for me, alright?"
"I will Ms.Shepherd don't worry," I said.
"Thank you Owen," she said and hugged me. I walked back over to my house and ran back upstairs. Amelia was lying in my bed and she looked so upset.
"Hey," I said and walked over to her.
"Hi," she said and sat up. I tossed her the bottle and she smiled.
"Did you see my mom?" She asked.
"No," I lied, "Derek let me in, I said I left a sweatshirt here the other day."
"Thank you," she said.
"Mhm," I said and sat down next to her. I kissed her cheek and she snuggled into me. I wrapped my arms around her and we watched TV.
"Is she mad at me?" She asked.
"Probably not, I don't know I didn't see her," I lied.
"Okay," she said.
"I think she's just worried," I said.
"I'd be worried too," she chuckled sadly, "I think I can handle everything when I can't."
"You don't have to," I said, "I'm here for you Amelia, we all are, and I love you so much."
