OWENS POV
It was after school and I was walking over to Amelia's house. I rang the doorbell and her mom opened the door.
"Hi Owen," she smiled, "come in."
"Hi, thanks" I said and walked upstairs to Amelias room. I knocked on the door and she opened it.
"Hey," she smiled.
"Hey," I said.
"Give me a minute," she said. I walked in and she finished something on her computer.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"Submitting my spanish homework," she said.
"Okay," I said.
"And we're done," she smiled, "I'm good to go."
"Okay," I smiled and kissed her. We walked downstairs and she said goodbye to her mother and we started walking down to the lake.
"So how was your day?" Amelia asked.
"It was good, you?" I said.
"It was alright, spanish is so stupid," Amelia said.
"I agree," I said.
"I don't understand and it!" Amelia laughed.
"Me either," I shrugged, "it's no use."
"Yeah," She chuckled. I intertwined my fingers with hers and pulled her close to me. We walked down to the water and I wrapped my arms around her. She had her head on my chest and I kissed her head.
"The sky is so pretty," she said softly.
"It is," I said, "like you." She looked up at me and smiled. She pecked my lips and went back to snuggling into me.
"I love you," I said softly. I felt her freeze and let go of me.
"You do?" She said.
"Of course I do, I've loved you from the minute that I met you," I said. A small smile appeared on her face and I pushed a piece of hair behind her ear.
"I love you Amelia," I said.
"I love you too Owen," she smiled and kissed me. I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her body into mine. She pulled back and smiled, she was so cute.
"I was scared to tell you that," she chuckled,
"I didn't know you felt the same way."
"Of course I love you Amelia," I said, "how could I not? I love everything about you."
"Even my poor math skills?" She said innocently.
"Yes even your poor math skills," I chuckled. She smiled and kissed my cheek.
"I love you too," she giggled.
-
We were walking back from the lake and Amelia was so cute. I told her today that I love her. I really do, and I'm glad I said it.
"Hey do you wanna stay for dinner at my place?" She asked.
"Sure," I said.
"Okay," she smiled, "my mom is getting pizza I think."
"Okay cool," I said. I put my arm around her and we walked up her driveway. We walked into her house and Amelia's sister was sitting on the couch.
"Mom got pulled into work," Liz said, "there's pizza in the kitchen."
"Okay," Amelia said. I followed her into the kitchen and I watched her pull her hair into a messy bun.
"What?" She said.
"What?" I chuckled.
"You're staring," she said.
"Yeah at you, you're pretty," I said. She chuckled and her face turned red.
"Stop I'm blushing," she giggled.
"You're cute," I said and pecked her lips.
"Oh hey," we heard.
"Hi Derek," Amelia chuckled.
"Hi Amy," Derek said.
"When's mom getting back?" Amelia asked.
"She said around 9," Derek said, "why are you throwing a party?"
"Shut up," Amelia said. He walked into the living room and Amelia opened the pizza box.
"Amy?" I said.
"Oh, uh, only Derek is allowed to call me Amy," she said, "my dad used to call me that."
"It's cute," I said.
"And only for Derek," she chuckled.
"Okay," I nodded.
"I mean," she said, "You can call me Amy if you want."
"Are you sure?" I said.
"I don't know," she chuckled.
"I'll just call you Amelia and you let me know okay?" I chuckled and kissed her forehead.
"Okay," she chuckled, "do you like pepperoni?"
"Yeah," I said.
"I mean we have plain too," she said.
"Pepperoni is fine," I chuckled. She grabbed too plates and gave me one.
"Do you want to eat upstairs?" She asked.
"Sure," I said.
"Do you want something to drink?" She asked and opened the fridge.
"Whatever you're drinking is fine with me," I said.
"Okay," she said and grabbed two sodas. We walked upstairs and she sat down on her bed.
"You're okay with me eating in your bed?" I asked.
"Yeah," she said, "I do it all the time."
"My mom hates it when I bring food upstairs," I chuckled.
"She'd hate me I eat upstairs all the time," she chuckled.
"She adores you," I said, "I think she likes you better than me."
"My mom likes you better than me," she chuckled.
AMELIAS POV
It was almost 10 and my mom wasn't home yet. I was pretty tired and I could tell Owen was too, I kinda wanted him to stay the night, I liked sleeping next to him.
"Hey I'll be right back okay?" I said.
"Okay," he said. I got up and knocked on Derek's door.
"Yes?" He said as I opened it.
"Quick question," I said.
"Quick answer," he said.
"Can owen stay the night," I asked.
"Amy," he chuckled, "I'm not mom."
"Well she's not here so," I said.
"Fine keep the door open," he said.
"You sound like mom," I chuckled.
"It's my job," he chuckled.
"So he can stay?" I said.
"You probably already told him yes anyway," he chuckled.
"I actually didn't," I said.
"Surprising," he said.
"I told him I loved him," I said.
"Okay and how did that go?" He said.
"Well he said it first," I said.
"That's good right?" He chuckled.
"Yeah," I smiled, "it is."
"Never thought I would see the day that Amelia says I love you again," he chuckled.
"Oh shut up," I said.
"I'm just saying," he said, "you've changed, for the better."
"I'm soft now," I said.
"You've always been soft deep down," he chuckled. I chuckled and walked out of his room. I opened my door and Owen was still laying in bed watching TV.
"Hey so guess what," I said.
"What?" He said.
"Derek said, if you want, you can stay the night," I said.
"Okay," he smiled.
"So is that a yes?" I said.
"Yes," he smiled and kissed me.
CAROLYNS POV
I got called back into work over an emergency and I was now heading home. I texted the kids that I was almost home and Liz and Derek responded, but it was almost 11 so I figured maybe Amelia fell asleep. I pulled in the driveway and unlocked the car. I walked upstairs and walked past Amelia's room. I peaked my head in and saw her cuddled into Owen. They were cute. I opened Derek's door and he was on his phone.
"Owens here, and asleep in Amelia's bed," I chuckled.
"She asked I didn't want to say no," He chuckled, "I didn't know what to say."
"It's okay," I said.
"Okay," he said.
"Everything good here while I was gone?" I asked.
"Yes," he said, "oh and guess what?"
"What?" I said.
"I didn't tell you this but, Amelia told him she loved him," he smiled.
"Really?" I said.
"Yeah," he said.
"She's so happy," I said.
"She is," he said, "she hasn't been this happy in a long time."
"I know," I said.
"Not even with james," he chuckled.
"Not even with james," I chuckled and walked out.
