CAROLYNS POV
I woke up freezing. I figured Amelia left her window open because she usually talks to Owen and sometimes forgets. I walked down to her room and sure enough her window was open, but she wasn't in her bed. Maybe the bathroom? I checked the bathroom and she was gone. I started to panic but then remembered I had that tracking app, and sure enough, she was at Owen's. I put my jacket on and walked over and knocked on the door. After a few moments Evelyn opened the door.
"Carolyn," she said, "is everything okay?"
"I'm so sorry I know it's late but is Amelia here?" I said.
"Not that I know of now, why is she okay?" Evelyn said.
"She's not in her room," I said, "and my tracking app says she's here." She nodded and let me in and we walked upstairs. Evelyn went to open Owen's door but it was locked.
"She's definitely in there," Evelyn chuckled. She knocked on the door.
"Mom what?" Owen said.
"Can you open the door?" I said.
"Give me a minute," Owen said.
"Amelias mom is here," I said. He opened the door and they were both there.
"Hi," Owen said.
"So which one of you is going to explain this?" Evelyn said and looked at Owen.
"We were just sleeping I promise," Amelia said.
"Yeah," Owen said.
"So you had to sneak out of the house?" I said. Neither one of them said anything.
"Amelia were going home," I said. Owen and Amelia looked at each other and then she followed me down the stairs. We walked back over to the house and she didn't say anything.
"Amelia," I said.
"I'm sorry," she said.
"What were you thinking? Are you two having sex?" I said.
"No were not!" She said.
"Go to bed," I said. She ran upstairs and slammed her door shut.
AMELIAS POV
I woke up in my bed and I remembered last night. Shit. My mom is definitely mad at me. I got up and got dressed and my door opened.
"Good morning," my mom said.
"Morning," I said.
"You're grounded for a week," my mom said.
"Ok," I said.
"What were you thinking? Sneaking out of the house? Why wouldn't you just ask?" She said.
"I don't want to talk about it," I said and grabbed my bag and walked downstairs.
"What happened to you?" Liz said.
"What?" I said.
"Why are you angry?" Liz said.
"I'm not," I said.
"She's mad because I caught her sneaking out of the house last night," my mom said.
"Derek I'll meet you in the car," I said.
"Amy you have to eat breakfast," he said sadly. I walked past him and grabbed a muffin and walked to the car. Derek and Liz opened the door and sat down. We were all silent when we got to school. I saw Owen waiting at my locker.
"Good morning," he said.
"Morning," I said.
"I'm sorry about last night, it wasn't a good idea," he said.
"No it's fine," I said, "it's my fault you've done it plenty of times and your mom never noticed."
"It's okay," he said.
"I'm grounded for a week," I said. He frowned and kissed my forehead.
"My mom said we'd discuss when I get home," he said.
"Okay," I nodded.
"Do you still have your phone when you're grounded?" He asked.
"Yeah, don't worry I'm not going to disappear," I chuckled.
"Good," he said and kissed me.
"My mom is really mad at me, I think I scared her," I said.
"Yeah," he sighed.
"Now she's gonna go all hawk eye on me thinking I'm going to do something," I sighed.
"I'm really sorry," he said.
"No, it's not your fault, you're not apologizing," I said, "it's only a week anyway and we see each other at school."
"Yeah," he said, "and we have windows across from each other."
"We do," I smiled.
-
I was walking out of Spanish when I met up with Callie.
"You look mad today are you okay?" She asked.
"My mom grounded me this morning," I said.
"Dude what did you do?" She said, "I mean you don't have to tell me."
"I snuck out last night to go sleep at Owen's house and she caught me," I said.
"You snuck out?" She said.
"He usually sneaks in," I chuckled.
"Damn," she said, "are you two having sex?"
"No!" I said.
"Just wondering," she chuckled.
"My mom is so mad at me," I chuckled.
"Mine would be too," she chuckled.
"Yeah so I'm grounded for a week," I said.
"That sucks I'm sorry," Callie said as we opened the cafeteria door.
"It's whatever," I shrugged. We walked over and I sat down next to Owen.
"Hi," Owen smiled.
"Hi," I said and pecked his lips, although I was grounded, I was so glad everything with Owen was okay.
