Steven learns some things about the diamonds that he didn't know, and has a heart to heart with Yellow.

When the diamonds arrived at the galaxy warp, Steven was amazed. "Woah."
Stepping on a warp pad, White stated it was inactive. Steven then proceeded to put a sticker on it.
"Inactive!!" Yellow called after stepping on another warp pad.
"Inactive," Blue said, seemingly disappointed when standing on one.
"Do we have to check all of them? They're all still inactive, like always," Yellow said.
"We need to make sure," White said.
"I've never seen so many Warp Pads before!" Steven exclaimed. "I hope I have enough of these Crying Breakfast Friends stickers. Where do all these Warp Pads go, anyway?"
"Well, Steven, these Warp Pads were used to travel off-planet. They were Earth's connection to the Gem Homeworld and to Gem-controlled planets all over the universe." Blue explained.
"Woah!! You mean we could go anywhere we want in outer space?" Steven's eyes lit up.
"Yeah... We could do that if they weren't all busted." Yellow said.
"It's true. The Galaxy Warp have all been inactive for a long time," Blue said.
"Can't we fix them?" Steven asked.
"No," White said.
"It's fine," Blue chuckled. "I'll always have memories of...home, but now I'm here. On Earth. Forever..."
"With me!!" Steven smiled.
"Yes, with you." Blue smiled. She then stepped onto one of the warp pads, sighing. "Homeworld is very different from Earth. Every inch of the planet is covered in buildings, not an organic being to be seen. While Earth certainly has its perks, sometimes...I really do miss it."
"We all do, Blue," Yellow said, walking over to her. "We all do."

It was the middle of the night. Steven sat in his room, thinking about what Blue had said.
The diamonds had never really been comfortable discussing their past with Steven, and he knew that. Whenever he would ask about it, they would steer the conversation away to something else.
What were they hiding from him?
He got up from his bed, heading downstairs towards the warp pad. Stepping onto it, he sighed before taking off.
He arrived back at the galaxy warp quickly. Stepping off the warp pad, he looked directly at the homeworld warp in the center.
Homeworld...
What was it like? Blue seemed quite fond of it when she was reminiscing about it. It must be a nice place.
He stepped onto the Homeworld warp, looking up at the stars. He wondered if he would ever even get to see Homeworld.

Steven returned home hoping that his absence would remain unnoticed by the diamonds. Stepping off the warp pad, he walked into his room only to be greeted by Yellow sitting on the couch with a stern look on her face.
"Where were you?" Yellow asked, her voice low.
"I-Uhh..." Steven's eyes darted away from her as he tried to think of something.
"Don't play games with me, Steven. I know you were at the galaxy warp," Yellow stood from her seat.
"Then why did you ask?!" Steven blurted.
"Because I wanted to see if you would tell the truth or not," Yellow said. "You can't just go off like that on your own, Steven!!"
"Sorry..." Steven looked down. "I just...I don't know." He sighed, looking back up at Yellow. "I want to know more about Homeworld."
Yellow looked at him, then smiled a little. "You could've just asked, Steven. Here, sit next to me." She offered, sitting back down.
Steven walked over, sitting next to Yellow on the couch.
"So, what exactly do you want to know?" Yellow asked.
"I...I don't exactly know," Steven said. "Did you like Homeworld?"
"Yes," Yellow said. "It's been my home for eons. It's not perfect, though. It's very fast paced. There's always so much going on, so much to do. Leisure time is...quite rare. Earth has been a nice break from that. As much as I don't like to admit it, this planet has helped me— what's the saying? Oh, right, 'come out of my shell'. All of us have come out of our shells more, especially White."
"How so?" Steven asked.
"White... she's always been quite secluded. Something about this planet helped bring her out of that. She's so much happier, at least from what i've seen," Yellow said. "No wonder Pink loved this planet so much..." She looked into the distance, memories playing back in her head. "But of course, I do find myself missing home more than I would like to admit. I wonder how the gems are doing there sometimes. None of us have had any contact with Homeworld since we were marooned here."
Steven took in her words as they poured out from her mouth. He then yawned loudly.
Yellow chuckled. "Looks like someone's tired. Why don't you go to bed?"
Steven sighed, "Alright." He went upstairs, flopping onto his bed. Yellow followed him upstairs, watching Steven get comfortable.
"Yellow?" Steven looked at her.
"Yes?" Yellow asked.
"If you could go home right now, would you?" Steven asked.
"...No," Yellow said. "I wouldn't." She smiled at him. "Because I found you here."
Steven smiled.
