Now that Steven knew who the diamonds were and what they did, he didn't really know how to feel. He didn't like to think about it, he really didn't.
He told Greg and Connie. He had to. It wouldn't be fair if he didn't. He was surprised to know that Greg knew everything already. Eh, the diamonds had to explain it to him at some point, right? That must've been an awkward conversation.
He tried to focus on the positives of his new knowledge— The diamonds know they screwed up, and they're trying their best to fix their mistakes.
The Diamonds were worried though. They had no knowledge of what's been going on back on Homeworld. It could be just fine, or could've been taken over. They were in all honesty surprised no one had come for them yet.
With the truth in his hands, everything began to make much more sense. What didn't make sense was this;
Why did the Diamonds try to hide their true identities from him?
To protect him?
Out of shame?
Because they had to?
He didn't know, but it didn't matter. He knew now.
But he was far from knowing everything...
