Off to Homeworld

The Diamonds journey to homeworld.

The Diamonds were nervous, to say the least. They hadn't been home in so long, they wondered if anything would be different.

But most importantly~ How difficult will Hessonite be?

Pyrope and Dementoid were both very cooperative, but from what the Diamonds knew, Hessonite would not be as easy to convince, especially since she was the one who held the most power.

Steven was asleep on Blue's lap while she read over some data on a screen.

"How is he?" Yellow asked, walking over.

"He's taking a nap," Blue said. "Can't blame him."

Yellow chuckled. "It's so funny how organics require sleep so often. It must be such a hinderance."

"We'll never truly understand organics, that's for sure," Blue said. She ruffled Steven's hair. "Steven is the closest we'll ever get to it though, because he's half gem."

White was at the control table, scrolling through documents. She sighed.

"White, are you ok?" Blue asked.

"No," White said, turning to Blue and Yellow. "I'm nervous. I haven't felt like this since I broke down a couple months ago."

Blue and Yellow immediately remembered what White meant;

"I'm NOT!!" White cried. "I'm not afraid of ANYTHING!!"

"You clearly are," Yellow said. "Now calm down and talk to us like a rational gem."

Yellow and Blue expected White to calm down, but instead, White's mouth grew into a snarl as her eyes began to glow a blinding white.

"WHITE, NO!!" Blue and Yellow screamed, backing away.

"White, it's going to be ok," Yellow reassured. She walked over, putting a hand on White's shoulder. "If Hessonite won't cooperate, we can just shatter her."

"But that won't look very good for us," White said. "Almost every gem hates us. They'll hate us even more if we hurt her. We need to be civil."

Suddenly, Steven yawned as he began to wake up. "Ah... are we there yet?"

"No, love. Sorry," Blue said.

Steven groaned, sitting up. "How long until we get there?"

"We've just entered homeworld's Galaxy. We should be there shortly," White said.

Steven got off Blue's lap. "So, what's the plan exactly?"

"We... we don't exactly have one," White said. "We hope we won't have to fight, and it will go smoothly like it did with Pyrope. However, it will likely not go as we want it to."

"Do you think Pyrope will uphold her promise and not warn Hessonite of our arrival?" Yellow asked.

"I read her mind. She won't do anything," White said. "She knows I'll shatter her if she does."

Steven pulled out a bag of chaaps and began to eat them. Blue finished reading the data. "We will be able to land on Pink's palace. It should be unoccupied."

"It will be so strange not seeing your ship there, y'know," Yellow said to White.

"It will," White said. "I wonder if Hessonite put anything there. Maybe she left it vacant, or she keeps her own ship there."

"We'll find out soon enough. We're here," Yellow said suddenly.

The ship was silent as everyone got up and looked out the window. In the distance was a planet that was cracked down the middle, and separated into several pieces.

"Home..." White gasped, a tear falling down her cheek.

"Why..." Steven looked at it. "Why does it look like that?"

"Because it's devoid of life," Yellow said, walking over to the pilot's chair. "We've sucked it dry."

"Oh," Steven looked at it sadly.

"Preparing ship for landing," Yellow said as she flew it down into the atmosphere. "Hold on tight."

The ship landed successfully on top of Pink's palace. The doors to the ship opened, and the Diamonds exited.

Homeworld hadn't changed much at all, so it was very familiar to the Diamonds. Steven looked around in awe.

"Welcome back."

Suddenly, the Diamonds turned to see none other than Hessonite with 2 topaz guards. She approached the Diamonds.

"You," White growled.

"I figured this would happen eventually. Pleasure to meet you all," Hessonite said in a mock polite tone. She then looked at Steven, and cringed in disgust. "What is that?"

"I'm Steven Universe!!" Steven approached her. "And you will listen to us!!"

Hessonite chuckled, a devilish grin forming on her face. "Seriously? You really think I'm going to listen to some organic? Topaz, take this thing and get it out of my sight."

"Wait, what?" Steven was suddenly grabbed by one of the Topazes and shoved into their body.

"STEVEN!!" The diamonds cried.

"Steven? What a stupid name," Hessonite laughed.

"That does it," Yellow's hand cracked with electricity. She tried to shoot Hessonite with it, but Hessonite pulled out a device that made a force field, and the lightning bounced off it.

"WHAT THE?!" Yellow gasped.

"HELP!!" Steven cried, trying to get himself out.

"You care for this organic, don't you?" Hessonite said. "Well I don't. If you want it back so badly, come and get it." She laughed wickedly as a platform brought Hessonite and the 2 topazes down into the palaces.

"STEVEN!!" The Diamonds ran to the edge of the roof, only to see that Hessonite was gone.

Fuck.
