The Wedding II

Yellow and Blue get married.

"♫ Mom was a Diamond who invaded Earth, saw its beauty, and its worth. Mom rebelled against White, Yellow, and Blue. Did that even end up mattering when she faked her own shattering? ♫"

"♫ Mom lived in hiding with her closest friends, till the Diamonds came and shattered their gems. Now all that's left of her exists in me, and I think that we can all agree... ♫"

"♫ That is a little bit upsetting. ♫ I'd rather think about... a wedding! ♫"

Steven slid out of the bathroom and began to sing even more.

"♫ Let's think about cake. Let's think about flowers. Let's think about dressing up and dancing around for hours. There's an awful lot of awful things we could be thinking of, but for just one day let's only think about love~ ♫"

Yellow was sitting on Steven's bed, covering her eyes. Blue walked past, also covering her eyes. "Okay, Yellow. I gotta get dressed for our big day now, so no peeking!"

"Okay, Blue," Yellow said.

"Oh, Steven. I just wish I could've said some things sooner about Pearl, and Pink, and everything," White said.

"♫ We could think about lies, that we told in the past. ♫"

"The poor thing," White thought of Pearl.

"♫ You could think about hurt feelings and how long they can last. ♫"

"How can you move on?"

"♫ Or we could think about hope! ♫"

"Hope?" White turned to him.

"♫ You know I've been hoping! ♫"

"About what?"

"♫ That everything's better now everything's out in the open! ♫"

"♫ We could think about flowers. We could think about cake. We could think about wonderful promises we have the power to make. There's an awful lot of awful things we could be thinkin' of. But for just one day, let's only think about love!~ ♫" Steven danced around. He then found Pip picking some flowers.

Pip sighed. "I know she didn't mean it, but..." She reached up and put a hand on her cracked eye.

"♫ We could all rethink, how we feel about Pink. When it comes to you and the things that she did in the past, I suppose. ♫" Steven looked at Pip. "♫ Or we could both feel better, 'cause we could think about how, we could think about us, and we could think about now! ♫"

Steven then warped to the barn. "♫ But for just one day let's only think about... ♫" He hummed. "Peridot? Lapis?"

"Hi, Steven," Lapis said.

"Sooner or later, the new authority is going to come for us," Peridot worried. "And we'll all be shattered!!"

"♫ We could think about war, we could think about fighting. We could think about the fact the new authority is frightening. ♫"

"♫ We could think about the broken gems on the Cluster at the planet's core. ♫"

"♫ Or we could think about the bubble we made, so that they can't be hurt any, they can't be hurt anymore! We could think about joy! We could think about pain! We could think about sunshine! We could think about rain! There's an awful lot of awful things we could be thinking of! ♫"

Steven pulled Peridot and Lapis towards the warp pad. They then warped back to the temple.

"♫ Just one day, let's only think about... Just one day, let's only think about... ♫"

"♫ Loooooooooove!~ ♫"

Steven jumped off the porch and floated down to the wedding alter. Greg sat in a chair, strumming his guitar. Steven walked over to Yellow, who stood in a yellow tuxedo. "You nervous?"

"A little," Yellow admitted.

Peridot then began walking down the aisle, throwing flowers at everyone.

"Flowers for you! Flowers for you! Flowers for you!" She threw the flowers so hard that one hit Mr. Fryman in the face, knocking him out of his chair.

"Wedding commander, all flowers have been deployed!" Peridot announced.

"Thanks, Peridot," Steven said.

Greg continued to strum the guitar, which cued Blue to step out of the house. She was wearing a beautiful navy blue satin dress, and a veil over her head. Yellow began to blush impossibly red at the sight. White chuckled a little. Blue walked down the steps, and began to walk towards the alter.

Steven cleared his throat. "Dearly beloved Gems, humans, lions big and small, Onion, We are gathered here today to celebrate Yellow and Blue, two of my favorite people. They've grown a lot since being stranded on Earth, and have discovered their deep love for one another. Now, it's your turn to talk about that." Steven stepped back.

"Blue," Yellow looked at her. "When you burst out of the ground, you shined brighter than a thousand stars. Your light was the most beautiful hue I had ever seen. We've always done everything together, and now I can say with my heart that we will continue to be together until we shatter."

"Yellow," Blue said. "You were the first face I saw when I emerged, the first pair of eyes I ever contacted with my own. In that moment I knew that you would be my love. My partner in life and beyond, and my soulmate for eternity."

Steven looked to see Bloop and Yelp tearing up. Pip stood there, smiling.

"Lapis, the rings," Steven requested.

Lapis walked over, handing the rings to Steven.

"Yellow, do you take this Gem to have and to hold, on this and every other planet in the universe!?" Steven asked.

"Yes," Yellow said.

"And Blue, do you take this Gem to have and to hold, on this and every other planet in the universe!?"

"Yes," Blue said.

"Then by the power vested in me by the state of Delmarva, I now pronounce you Diamond and Diamond. You may now kiss," Steven said.

Removing her veil, Blue and Yellow looked lips, kissing passionately. Everyone began to cheer.

And in that moment, Steven knew, that things were only going to get better from then on.
