The room was silent for a moment as the Diamonds absorbed those names.
Pyrope.
Demantoid.
Hessonite.
"What's going on?" Steven walked into the barn.
"Peridot told us who's in charge of Homeworld," Blue said.
"Who?" Steven asked.
"A Pyrope, a Demantoid, and a Hessonite," Blue said. "Three very powerful gems, if I do say so."
"Powerful enough to convince Homeworld to believe a lie," White said.
"Hessonite's in charge," Peridot said. "Pyrope and Demantoid work under her. They bubbled away all other forms of Garnet so they would be the only of their kind."
"Why would they do that?!" Steven asked.
"I don't know," Peridot said.
Suddenly, Blue gasped. "My Pearl..."
Yellow and White both froze in horror.
"Peridot, do you know if anything has happened to our Pearls?" Yellow asked.
"From what I know, your Pearl is fine, my Diamond," Peridot said. Yellow's shoulders relaxed.
"What do you mean, your Pearl? Did you own a gem?" Steven asked.
"Pearls are sort of like... assistants," Yellow explained. "That was their job."
"Oh," Steven nodded.
White felt her chest tighten at the thought of Pink Pearl. The Pearl she took away and controlled for millennia.
"We have to recuse them," White said suddenly.
"What?!" Everyone looked at White.
"White, we can't even leave Earth!! How will we even plan on doing that?!" Yellow asked.
"We'll find a way," White said.
Suddenly, the ground began to shake. Startled, Steven jumped into Blue's arms.
"AH!! What was that?!" Steven panicked.
"THE CLUSTER!!" Peridot screamed in horror. "IT'S COMING!!"
"Peridot, calm down!!" Yellow urged.
"I AM CALM!!" Peridot screamed.
Yellow sighed. "Come on. Let's go fix that damned drill." Yellow grabbed Peridot, running outside. Blue, White, and Steven followed.
Yellow and Peridot managed to get the drill working in the nick of time. There was another earthquake, startling everyone.
However, White wasn't moving. Her eyes were glowing white.
"White? What's wrong?" Blue asked.
The glowing stopped, and she looked at Blue. "Malachite, I know where she is," White said.
"WHAT?! Where is she?!" Yellow asked urgently.
"Mask island," White said. "Yellow, Blue, come with me. Peridot, you and Steven will have to drill to the cluster without us."
