Killer's POV

When Jeff woke up, he was feeling pretty smug with himself. So he decided to taunt the FBI so he came up with a message to send them.

Plebians,

How does it feel to consistently lose? Sincerely I'd like to know since I don't personally know this feeling. All of you have to give it up to the New Orleans office though as Agent Martinez and Agent Stein are pulling their weight as the rest of you slack. They almost had me. If you're wondering hey didn't Agents Bellafonte and Chadwick almost have him? No. That credit belongs solely to Leah Havers. She was smart enough to check her jewelry to notice that her pair was missing which is the only reason those two knuckleheads knew I was there. They deserve zero credit. So going back to Agents Martinez and Stein those two are the only ones out of you lot that almost had me. If only they hadn't left the work of checking my property to two lazy officers who didn't even bother to check the ID of the actor playing the part of me. Just think if they had checked him, you'd have me and the girl in Memphis would also be alive with Leah Havers. Step up your game FBI because I'm bored, and you don't want me bored.

Sincerely,

Nightmare Catcher

Agent Martinez POV

We received the message from the Nightmare Killer just in time for our meeting with the Director which riled me up all over again.

"I'm guessing you called a meeting because he struck again while we were in the middle of a fucking manhunt for him?" Agent Martinez asked. The Director went over the details that they had and the most recent message from the serial killer. At the end of the meeting she asked Agent Stein to leave and for Agent Martinez to stay.

"Agent I need you to go see our therapist immediately or I'll remove you from this case. It's gotten too close for you and your emotions are out of control. I can't have a loose cannon on this case. Those are your only choices. Go see the therapist now or removal from the case." The Director said.

Gabby's POV

My Aunts decided to stay for lunch with me before hitting the road. So we met up with Nicole and Maria at a po boy shop. Nicole had already met them, so I introduced Maria to them.

"So you're Mateo's sister?" Jeanie asked.

 "Yep." Maria asked.

"Since our niece doesn't have parents we have to look after her in their place. Do we need to worry about your brother breaking her heart?" Gwendolyn asked.

"No. My brother loves her with his whole heart. There's no one she'd be safer with honestly." Maria said sincerely. After that we gossiped with my Aunts about what's going on in their lives, Maria and Nicole's weddings, Christmas and New Years plans.

"When is your brother getting out of the army?" Jeanie asked me.

"He finishes in April." I said.

"What's he going to do then?" Jeanie asked.

"He's returning here where his only family his. We have a business plan actually. He gets money that he can use for College or something else. He's going to use it with what I have saved to buy our own shop rather than renting like I currently do. We'll be co-owners and he can display his own artwork as well." I said. Discussing this reminded me that I had an idea I wanted to talk about with my brother. After lunch I walked back to my shop with my Aunts. They got their stuff and met me at their cars. We hugged and I told them I love them and to drive safe.

That evening after closing my shop I went to my apartment and called my brother.

"Hey Gabs, what's up?" Lewis asked.

"Hey Lew. I wanted to discuss our business plans and my love life." I said.

 "Go ahead." Lewis said.

"So we plan to be co-owners and buy a shop together which that plan isn't changing. So I talked with Mateo and he wants to buy a house with me. We were going to buy a duplex and rent the other side. You see I met this girl who is only 18 years old and she's struggling. She had our kind of childhood only her mom kicked her out at the age of 17. She works three jobs to survive and manages to attend college part time. I never had that problem b/c when I left our mom I had somewhere to go. I had help. I want to do that for her. I want her to work in our shop and live in the other half. Or if the shop we buy has a unit above it she could live there. Either way we'd charge her a very affordable rent so that she can easily live off just working for us that way she can attend college full time. She won't have to stress and be so alone. We'd be her chosen family. Right now I have one regular employee and one temporary. But I do well enough honestly to have a non-temporary second employee. Which means we should do well enough to have both." I said. I took a deep breath because I said a lot all in one breath.

"I think that's a good idea. I'm down with that plan assuming she accepts." My brother said.

"Speaking of Mateo we're doing Christmas with his family. You ok with that?" I asked.

"Of course. I can't wait to meet him. I have to make sure he's good enough." Lewis said.

"Aunt Jeanie and Gwendolyn met him this past weekend and approve of him." I said.

"Yes, but I have tougher standards." Lewis said.

"Mmmhmm. Whatever. Anyways, I better let you go. I'll talk to you later and I love you." I said.

"I love you too, bye." Lewis said and we disconnected.
