I was thinking of going on a run to clear my mind on the events that had just occurred and that way i could avoid talking to anyone as much as possible.
I went back to my room to change, i decided to wear some shorts and a tank top and i put my hair in a plait i got my earphones and my phone and walked out my room, looking at my phone i accidentally walked into Bruce.
"Sorry"i said laughing.
"It's alright, where are you off to?"Bruce responded.
"I'm going on a run"I replied with a small smile.
"In them shorts"He said anxiously.
"Hey i'll be alright you don't have anything to worry about"I replied as i could see his jealously.
"Be careful ok".
"Your telling me to be careful".I replied.
"Your right".He said blushing.
"Just be safe alright"He continued bringing me into a hug and softly kissing my lips.
"I will".I said doubtingly.
I walked downstairs and grabbed a drink and then walked out the door and let the fresh air hit my face, i played my music and slowly started jogging around the neighbourhood.
I had ran for about 15 minutes until a had the slight suspicion someone as following me, i just acted as normal thinking nothing of it. I ran for a few more miles through some fields and i had noticed the same car had been driving past me at least three times already, i steadied my pace looking forward until the car beside me pulled up next to me.
I turned to look at them and they were pointing a gun right at me, i put my hands in the air and stopped in my tracks, they told me to get down on the ground but i resisted, then i took my earphones out however they got tangled, whilst trying to untangle them, the guy punched me in the eye, however in that opportunity because he had focused on hitting me his other arm was weaker so i snatched the gun out of his hand and pointed it straight back at him.
He put his hands in the air as i kicked him in the knee so he was on the ground.I then stated "Whoever you are and whatever you want to do with me you can think again".I said moving myself over to the car and grabbing the keys, i then shot his tire then threw his care keys as far as i could into the field so they were almost impossible to find.
He replied "It's too bad i was going to kill you, but it would be hard to move you body considering how fat you are now".I just froze.
I could feel tears stinging my eyes so i continued my way back home and i couldn't just have a gun on me so i threw it also in the field as well and ran as fast but steadily as i could. Back on my way i thought of all the insecurities of my body but also thinking whoever they could be and whether it was a warning by the red room or test to see if i could handle myself. I also thought about how i'm going to hide this potential black eye on my date tonight with Bruce and what i'm going to say.
I was round the corner from the facility now and i could feel my eye slightly swelling, i had to try and avoid anyone i can as possible and get to my room to check myself up and have a relaxing shower.
I walked through the door and Tony and Steve were talking on the couch, i pretended i was listening to music so they would ignore me as i tried to cover my eye with my hair that had fallen out my plait and walked swiftly up the stairs looking down at the ground i walked into someone again i looked up and of course it was Bruce again.
He could see the pain in my eyes but i kept a blank face, however my swollen eye gave everything away.
"Omg Nat your eye what happened?"He questioned worriedly.
"Uh nothing".I said calmly but anxiously.
"It doesn't look like nothing to me, did someone hurt you?"He said angry as i could see his eyes start to turn a slight green.
"I-"But before i could continue i felt a burning sensation on my wrist."I need to go" i said running to my room and locking the door behind me.
I slid down against the door and i heard roughly Bruce saying "Nat please open up" his voice a little shaky, but all i focused on was my wrist as i moved the bracelet from the place it was in and there was a small burn mark in it's place.
